Then she turned around and lifted her hair, showing me the name on her back.My name. She was too fucking adorable. And damn, the caveman inside me was smug as shit to see my brand on her.

“Channing!” Coach O’Hara shouted in my ear, making me wince and turn back to him. “You want to pay attention?”

“Sorry, Coach,” I muttered.

Jordan and Ames smiled in understanding since they were both married. Kellan just looked at me like I was crazy. I shrugged and grinned, making him double-blink. Yeah, I still didn’t smile much unless my fiancée was around. So when I did, it tended to give the guys a good shock, which amused me.

“Rhodes!” I turned when I heard my name and saw a staff member wearing a headset jogging toward me. “Lennox Madison wants you in his suite right now.”

“Now?” I barked disbelievingly.

The guy shrugged. “I’m just passing along the message he gave me.” Then he jogged away.

The game didn’t officially start for another hour, but we had pre-game rituals that I couldn’t imagine Lennox would want me to miss.

I glanced up at the suite and frowned when I didn’t see Finley anymore.

“Come on,” Coach O’Hara muttered as he slapped me on the back. “You can walk with me upstairs, and I’ll fill you in on the shit you were ignoring before you go talk to Lennox.”

I nodded and half-listened to him as we walked. Once we entered the locker room, Brady looked up and frowned when he saw me. “Why aren’t you with Finley?”

“What?” I growled, shoving my way across the room toward the exit.

“Lennox was supposed to get word to you. Talia texted me to let me know what was going on, so I just assumed you were already on your way.”

“Fuck!” I broke into a run, making my way up to the suites as fast as I could. Apparently, Lennox had warned the security team that I was coming because they let me pass without asking any questions, even giving me directions where to go, which just freaked me out even more.

When I reached the entrance to the box, I shoved it open and glanced around frantically until I spotted Finley. My pulse only slowed a little at seeing her. I was still in a tailspin over what could be going on with her.

“Baby,” I grunted as I dropped to my knees in front of her, scanning her for obvious injuries. “What’s wrong? Are you okay?” She looked pale and was nibbling on a cracker.

Her cheeks heated when she saw me, and she groaned. “I told him not to call you. I want all your focus on the game. Uncle Lennox! You traitor!”

“Finley!” I snapped. “What’s going on?”

“Tell him, Finley,” Lennox growled as he appeared at my side. “Tell the bastard what he did.”

“Watch it,” I snarled, not happy about the tone he was using with her. Then I turned back to Finley. “What’s going on?”

“Nothing,” she sighed. “I threw up a little bit.”

Lennox snorted, and my frown deepened.

“Okay, I threw up a lot. But it’s just because I had too much popcorn and then a hot dog.”

“We should take you to the hospital,” I insisted, standing.

“No, you need to take her to a fucking courthouse,” Lennox muttered.

“Uncle Lennox, would youbutt out?” Finley shouted, taking us all by surprise since she rarely raised her voice in anger. “And watch your language! Fetuses have ears, you know. Anyway, I don’t need to go anywhere. I need to be here to support my man while he helps win another championship for your team.”

My breath caught in my lungs, and my legs gave out, sending me down to my knees again. “Fetus?”

Her cheeks heated again, and I rubbed a hand over my beard, unsure I’d heard her right.

“Um…I want to be here to cheer for the father of my baby.”

“Baby?” I gasped as joy flooded my system. “You’re pregnant?”
