She fit over me, her pussy squeezing me like a vise. All of her molding into me, like we were made for each other. As cheesy as that might’ve sounded, it was exactly what I was feeling. That someone, up there, for some odd reason liked me and created Lisa Specter to fit my life perfectly.

If I wanted to create my perfect woman, she still wouldn’t be as wonderful as Lisa.

She rocked up and down over my cock, squeezing me to the point where I almost lost my breath. As she bounced on my lap, I fisted her hair to bring her face to mine so we could devour each other. Our tongues tangled as our breathing mingled around us. Her nails ran down my chest, urging me on and making me piston my hips up to meet hers.

As we were both getting closer to ecstasy, we broke our kiss and panted as we stared into each other’s eyes. Her honey pupils were dilated, but what entranced me was the unrestrained care I saw in them, which I was sure matched mine. Something I wanted to call love.

Still fisting her hair, I slid my free hand down her body and pressed her clit again, marveling at watching her succumb. She cried out my name, and we both lost control of our rhythm.

When she fell over the edge, I felt her core pulsing and gripping my cock even harder. I had no alternative but to fall with her. I groaned her name as she shouted mine, and I pulsed my release into her in a primal ecstasy. I was awash with a sense of belonging and owning I’d never felt until that moment.

I’ve had important milestones in my life, both good and bad.

But that one was a night I could never forget.

CHAPTER NINETEEN

I was still on a high. After our moment in the car, our intimacy seemed more vivid and intense than ever. I couldn’t even say Lisa and I were dating. It was too weak of a word for what was happening to us.

I was consumed by her. I craved her when we were together, I yearned for her when we were apart. She was more than the woman I saw almost every day so she could care for my baby. She was a part of my life. A life I was building with her and my Sofia.

Our escapade in the car was a dream come true. In the days that followed, the same dream happened in my bed. In my shower when Fee was still asleep. A brief dream in the kitchen again.

I was a man full of dreams. And Lisa was making them all come true.

“How do you think dragons blow out candles?” I was startled out of my sexy musings by Mia’s muffled voice.

I looked up from my seat in her small office to stare at Mia in confusion. She was seated behind her desk, leaning forward with her forehead on the table.

“What are you talking about?”

She leaned her torso back, took off her glasses to rub her eyes, and pulled off her earbuds. “I’m listening to the audios we got from that first raid we did at their base. And I’m bored out of my mind. Hence the question. How do you think dragons blow out candles?” She twirled her index finger. “I think they lick the flames away.”

“Huh. You’re very productive today.” I noticed her eyes were red, and the dark circles around them were more pronounced. Her clothes were crumpled, and if the pillows on the loveseat in the corner were any indication, she’d spent the night at the company. Again. We were all exhausted, but at least I was getting loved up at home.

“Why don’t you go home? Take some rest and forget about those audios. They’re getting you nowhere.”

She leaned her head back, closed her eyes, and placed her feet on the edge of her chair. “I can’t. We need to end this somehow. And...I don’t know. I have this crazy feeling we might get something out of them. I mean, why save a bunch of audio among sensitive information if they’re not important? There has got to be something useful.”

Arguing with her would be a waste of time. Besides, she wasn’t wrong. Just tired. But until we hired more people, that’d be the norm for us.

We continued working in silence, both of us lost in several files on theAlacránswhen Ben entered Mia’s office talking to someone over the phone. “I have them now, so I’ll put you on speaker.” He sat next to me. “Go ahead, Aaron.”

“Hey, guys. I have news.”

“Why did you call Ben?” Mia was as confused as I was. She gasped and placed a hand over her heart, even though he couldn’t see her. “Don’t you love me anymore?”

He sighed. “I do, Mia,” he placated her as one would a child. “I love you very much. I just had a few things to run by him.”

That seemed odd. Mia was the closest to Aaron, and I was the second in line. But I chose not to voice my thoughts, and by Mia’s raised brow, she did the same.

“Anyway, I have news about your latest adventure.”

That perked us up.

“How are the girls?” We all wanted to bring the cartel down, but they were my main concern.

“They’re getting there. We were able to track their families and placed them all in safety once again. They’re getting medical and psychological assistance, but we’ll need to talk to them again when this goes to court.”
