I hear feet shuffling behind me before Dad announces, “The ladies are taking me on a tour of the town. We’ll be gone for at least an hour.”
I wait until the door shuts behind them before I lift my head. “Did that just happen?”
“Did what just happen?”
“Did my dad leave so we can have sex?”
Cash picks me up and cradles me in his arms. “We shouldn’t waste a moment of time.”
