The movie begins to play and the first scene is of some dude in a chariot wearing a corset. Men should not wear corsets.

I groan. “What the hell is this?”

Indy widens her eyes. “Whatever do you mean?”

“Innocent? You’re going to play innocent with me?”

She bats her eyelashes. “What?”

“You’ve done it now.” I launch myself at her and tickle her ribs.

She squirms and bats at me. “Stop it!”

“Admit you chose a costume drama to torture me.”

“No! Never!”

She falls back and I climb on top of her. I pause when I realize I’ve got her right where I want her. My body blankets hersand her breasts rub against my chest as she fights for breath. Heaven. This is heaven.

I forget all about tickling her as my gaze zooms in on her lips. Her perfect lips with their bowtie shape. She bites her bottom lip and I groan.

“I’m going to kiss you now,” I announce but I don’t give her a chance to reply before my lips meet hers.

I start with a soft touch. I don’t want to press her too hard too fast. She’ll run away if I do.

But when she sighs and her mouth opens, soft goes out the window. I push my tongue into her mouth and cock my head to the side before I dive in. Her strawberry and cream taste hits me and I moan. She always tastes of candy with a side of wicked. It’s addicting.

I cradle her face in my hands as I reacquaint myself with every inch of her mouth. Her tongue duels with mine and I groan before turning the heat up on the kiss.

Her legs fall open and I press my hard length into her center. She moves to wrap her legs around me and something crashes to the ground before the television blares.

“A society on the brink of change finds its fate entwined in the dance of romance and scandal.”

I reach for the remote to switch off the sound, but I’m too late. Indy is already pushing on my shoulders in a silent demand for me to get off her. I sit up with a sigh.

She jumps to her feet and marches toward the staircase. “So much for the Cash stay out signs,” she grumbles as she flees.

I watch as she rushes up the stairs, but I don’t follow. I’ve pressed her enough for the day. Bit by bit I’m tearing down those walls she’s erected against me.

I groan and collapse against the sofa. It’s going to be another cold shower for me tonight.

I hum as I return to my bedroom after my shower. My fingers itch for my guitar as the start of a chorus flits through my mind. It’s there but slightly beyond my reach.

I settle on a chair with my guitar on my lap and strum a few chords.

I’ve always known

You’re the one I need

Not quite it. I clear my throat and change the key.

I’ve learned from my mistakes

I’ve grown

I’ve always known

Getting there. I continue to work on the song until I’m satisfied with the lyrics. I’ll play it for the guys tomorrow and we’ll refine the music. Jett can add some drums, Fender some bass, and Gibson some rhythm. It’s how we usually make my lyrics into a song since writing music is not my strength.
