Okay. I’ll see you soon, Cinderella.

Cinderella

See you soon, Cross.

Guess she didn’t believe me when I said I’d chase her.

Her mistake.

Who else is living for the big Le Désir fashion show tonight? The glitz. The glam. The beautiful women in beautiful lingerie. Rumor has it we should get more than oneKroydon Kouplesighting too, considering Madeline Kingston-Hayes and Everly Sinclair are both walking in the show. Guess we’re on #Hazey and #WildSin watch. EVERLY

“Has anybody seen Lilah?” Carys yells with straight pins clamped tightly between her teeth before my cousin rushes into the room.

“I’m here. I’m here. Sorry.” Lilah looks around with wild eyes. I haven’t seen her in months since she’s been on the US leg of her tour.

“Come with me,” I pull her behind me and grab the heels to go with her lingerie. Lilah’s wearing an ice-blue babydoll with a built-in pushup bra and white lace trim along with a matching floor-length robe.

It’s gorgeous, if I do say so myself, which I do.

With her golden skin and nearly white-blonde hair, she looks innocent and pure. Angelic. Not at all the hell-raiser she’s been her whole life.

I grab her white-satin mule heels, covered in white fuzzy feather tips on the strap crossing her toes, and I add a double-sided sticky pad to the inside sole of each heel. “Slide these on and let me see the whole thing.”

She does as she’s told, then spins.

“You look absolutely perfect, little cousin.” Okay, so I may preen a little. Carys and Chloe let me design her lingerie.

She pulls at the sash on the robe I’m wearing. “Now let me see what you’ve got under there, Evie. I heard you designed mine, yours, and Gracie’s. Come on, show me.”

Gracie joins us in our little corner of the craziness backstage.

“Oh my God, Gracie...” Lilah squeals and walks in a circle around Grace. “Holy shit. You look so fucking hot. If I had your tits, I’d never wear a bra.”

The three of us break out into a fit of laughter, like we do whenever we’re all together.

“Lilah Belle?—”

“Oh shit. Middle-named.” Lilah giggles and turns to see Aunt Nattie and Mom standing behind us.

“Did you not think to stop home and see your father and me before you came here?” Nattie looks pissed. “We haven’t seen you in a month.”

Aunt Nat and Uncle Brady fly out to Lilah’s shows whenever they can, but their youngest is still in school, so it’s not like they can be there constantly.

“Sorry, Momma. Noah and I crashed as soon as we landed. It was stupid early. And I guess jet lag messed with us worse than we thought because I swear I almost overslept and missed this.”

“Oh. My. God. I would have killed you,” Carys shrieks as she joins us. “My girls all together. Just missing a few.” She clears her throat. “Everly... there’s someone here to see you.”

She steps aside, and there he is.

My tall, dark, and handsome man.

“Is that him?” Aunt Nat asks Mom, who nods.
