“I think we can make that happen any time you want,” Graham said, pulling me to stand.

My hand felt comfortable in his when he led me down the hallway and toward the front of the building. Rachel was still at the front desk when we walked by, and I gripped his hand tighter, stepping a little closer.

“Bye, Graham!” she shouted, using a voice that could definitely not be natural for her. Her tone changed when she added, “It was nice to meet you.”

“See ya, Rachel.” Graham could barely pull his gaze from me long enough to look at her when he pushed the shelter door open.

“You too!” I smiled at her, the same way I’d smile at my grandmother’s neighbor, but I leaned closer to Graham, settling into his side until he hooked his arm around me. When her eyes narrowed, a small feeling of victory made my heart race faster. Or maybe it was the way he squeezed me, smiling down at me, that made my heart speed up. Either way, I knew I could feel the same fire in his eyes in my belly, and I wasn’t sure I could stop it.

That makes two of us.

Chapter 15

Graham

“Did you really have to tell the waiter thatI’mdessert?” Chelsea asked, kicking her shoes off as soon as we walked in the door of my apartment. She dropped her purse on the entry table, turned towards me, and crossed herarms over her chest. By the way she chewed her lip, I imagined she was biting back a bit of an amused grin.

I shrugged. “I wasn’t wrong.” She let me take her hand and pull her towards me, but she pursed her lips and crinkled her nose. “You’re precious when you scowl like that.”

Chelsea rolled her dark brown eyes before she narrowed them. “I’m notpreciousanything,” she snarked, shrugging her coat off her shoulders and dropping it carefully to the ground.

“You are.” I pinched her chin between my finger and thumb, pulling her gaze to mine. “You’re precious all the time.” I leaned down, pressing my lips to Chelsea’s with a light peck. “When you’re stubborn.” Another peck. “When you’re trying to pretend you aren’t shy.” She huffed, but I kissed her again. “When you’re competitive.” I kissed her again. “Even when you win.”

She giggled, pursing her lips for another kiss. Her eyes lazily lingered half-closed, like she was in a daze. “I like to win,” she said with a hum before she kissed me. Her tongue lapped against mine, growing more forceful as she deepened the kiss.

“I know you do.” I chuckled when she grinned. I liked the fact that she was competitive, that she would challenge me. I liked it even more that she would give in completely to me afterward. “Do you want to play a game now?”

Chelsea glanced over my shoulder in the direction of my bedroom, and her cheeks darkened with a slight blush as she bit her lip and slowly rolled her gaze back to me. “Yes, please.”

My stomach flipped, and I smirked. “Get on your knees, butterfly.”

She nodded and didn’t hesitate before she knelt, keeping eye contact with me while she settled back onto her heels. Chelsea looked up at me, and I bent down to give her another kiss, watching the muscles in her neck flex when she stretched to reach my lips as I pulled away. Her eyes slowly fluttered open when she realized I had stood.

“You’re precious on your knees too. Such a good girl for me, hmm?” I lifted her chin, and she beamed.

When I walked away, returning with the silk blindfold I kept in my dresser drawer, Chelsea’s eyes widened. “Do you trust me?” I asked her, dragging the soft fabric across her still-covered shoulders. My stare lingered on the zipper down the back of her dress, and my fingers itched to tug at it. I couldn’t wait to see it bunched up on the floor.

“Of course I do.” Her voice was quiet, but it didn’t shake. When I pulled the blindfold over her eyes, tying it behind her head, her back stiffened, and I watched her chest rise and fall with slow, calculated breaths.

“Good. Give me your hand,” I commanded, pleased when she lifted her arm immediately. I closed my hand around hers, helping her to her feet and holding her hip until she regained her balance. Her first few steps toward the bedroom were timid, but I tightened my arm around her, reassuring her that nothing would happen to her.

In the bedroom, I reached for the zipper I had been eyeing all night. Chelsea took a deep breath when I pulled at it, sliding it down and exposing her bare back. She hadn’t worn a bra, and my eyes were drawn to the curve of her spine. Her dress hit the ground, followed shortly by a tiny black thong.

Chelsea stood bare in front of me, and I circled her slowly, taking in every freckle and crease that decorated her curves. She shivered under a phantom breeze, the anticipation creating goosebumps along her flesh. I smiled when her nipples hardened into tight little buds, and when I brushed my thumb over one, she whimpered, leaning forward.

Taking her hand, I guided her onto the bed. “Lay down.” Chelsea was quick to obey, settling onto her back in the middle of the mattress. When she offered me one of her hands, I smiled.“Are you eager, precious butterfly? You want to be my little plaything for the night?”

Chelsea nodded. “Yes, please,” she said quietly.

“Always so polite.” I chuckled, closing the velvet cuff around her wrist and pulling the strap tight. She hissed quietly when it stretched her arm, but then a small smile formed on her face. “Do you remember your safe word?” I asked her, circling the bed to fasten her other arm.

“Yes.” She fidgeted, testing the restraints as I tightened the strap. Chelsea smiled when she wasn’t able to pull free, and I chuckled. The same woman who had practically run from me when I told her to get on her knees a couple weeks ago was now happily strapped to my bed, her beautiful brown eyes covered by black silk.

Once I had her feet tied down and she had confirmed she couldn’t easily break free, I chuckled. “I’ll be back.”

“What?” Her voice was laced with panic, and her mouth dropped open. “Where are you going?”

“Be patient, remember?” I gave her a slow once over, watching her fidget before I started to walk out of the bedroom. “Don’t go anywhere.” Chelsea huffed, and I laughed, ignoring her frustrated grumbles.
