“It’s his sister,” Kohen retorts. “Surely, he’d give a fuck.”

“Doubtful,” Arlo retorts. “He let his second in command get ripped to shreds by those Russian gangbangers last year.” He steals a glance at me, aware that I’m not one for keeping pets around in the house. “Finn has a right to her fortune and anything that comes with it when we off Cillian.”

He’s right.

It was the plan all along, and I’d already told the Kincaid redhead that I wasn’t giving her up. I didn’t plan on going back on my word now and letting her free.

“Then Finn is going to need a security detail so that his own wife doesn’t off him,” Kohen inserts. “It’s the quiet ones you have to look out for.”

Apparently.

“Finn can take care of himself,” Arlo answers for me, shifting in his bed and trying to get comfortable. “We might want to move this along quicker, brother. Despite the fact that your future wife shot me, I’ll allow you to handle it.”

“I think he already did,” Kohen mutters. “She currently has stitches, from what I’m told.”

“Finn, I don’t want ye causin’ her to scream bloody murder when she’s in the house. Wait until ye married before ya go doing things that your Mama is gonna throw a fit about. No bruisin’ on her face or anywhere visible—”

“He knows, Da,” Arlo quips. “The sooner we can get her out back, the better.”

My brother is referring to my little house in the back of the property. It used to be a large shed, but I converted it into my own little sanctuary wheneverI needed some time away from everyone. Arlo and Kohen stay in the main house, especially since things have heated up. But they do have their own places that they frequent to get away from Mama’s hovering.

“What’s our next move?” Kohen asks. “Do we set up men around his block to see if we can catch him coming out?”

Father shakes his head. “He won’t be leavin’. And, if he does, he’ll have a barricade of men surroundin’ him. I don’t wanna get the Feds involved with this.”

“Cillian will end up doing some stupid shi,” Arlo replies. “The Feds are the least of our problems.”

“The Feds arealwaysthe problem,” Father replies. “We had to buy off that one attorney general, and then he got killed. We don’t have a handle on the new one yet. We need to buy our time and wait for a mistake.”

Sounds exhausting.

“We could send Finn in to do the job,” Kohen suggests. “He knows how to navigate his way in and out of things.”

“I need him here to marry the lass.”

“Have him do it after,” Arlo replies. “I’ll go with him.”

Kohen laughs, and he’s the only one in the room to do so. “With your limping ass? Try again, brother. Finn will do just fine alone.”

“He needs to be here to take the Kincaid’s fortune when Cillian is dead,” Father counters with steel in his tone. “Are ye boys daft? I knew ye got adrenaline runnin’ through yer veins but calm down. Finn stays.”

I feel Arlo’s eyes on me, and I glance over at him. He knows I want Cillian. However, he also knows I won’t go rogue and do it if our father is so against the idea.

“We’ll wait,” I deadpan, appeasing my older brother that I’m alright with the decision. “Maybe I can get the layout of the house and where Cillian frequents from the girl.”

“Good idea,” Father replies. “If ye need to be a little creative with it, so be it. Just keep her noises out of the house when yer Mama is here.”

“Yes, sir.”

“Well then,” Father proceeds. “Then my son is still getting married. To a Kincaid girl.”

Yes, I am.

And I can’t wait to own her completely.
