“I am. However, I’m telling you as it is.”

“And so am I.” I fix him with the best death stare that I can. “I’m never marrying you. And, if I walk down an aisle and you’re at the end of it, just know that it’s all a lie. You will neverhaveme like you think you will. I might have your stupid name and live in your overly decorated house, but they’ll neverbea day when I belong to you.Ever.”

Finn’s lips heave into a sinister smile. “I’d say the law would speak differently, but you know damn well that doesn’t mean shit to me. But in the mafia world, it means death if you even consider betraying me.”

“I’m alreadydead,according to you.”

“You are.” He steps forward, which makes me press further against the door. “But I’ll be the one to decide all that for you. Your ultimate demise, what you do, and who you belong to. You’re mine, Haven Kincaid. And we’re getting married tomorrow since you can’t seem to keep your hands off me.”

“I haven’ttouchedyou.”

“And you won’t,” he promises. “But since we’re in the game of hard objects, I do have a wedding gift for you. And he was big, my love.”

Collins.

“Stop it,” I clip out. Tears immediately well up in the back of my eyes, and I despise Finn for what he just said—for the overwhelming fear that his death would befall me because I got caught here.

“Remember what I said, Haven.” He steps forward again, and my body cringes. “The more trouble you cause me, the more I take from you.”

“I hate you.”

He seems amused by that because his lips curl again. “But you love my cock.”

I mindlessly raise my hand up to slap him across the face, but he’s quick to catch my wrist. “You don’t get to hit me unless I’m inside you.”

“I hope youdie. I hope that something so horrible happens to you that every piece of karma rains down on you.”

Finn quirks a brow. “I don’t believe in karma. I believe in people like me that rain down consquences of people that have wronged us.”

“You’re no one,” I manage to sneer. “No one but a bastard.”

“My parents are married.” My face skews because I do loathe this man. He has an answer for literally everything. “And if you’re pregnant with my child—”

“I’llkillmyself.”

That seems to wipe the smug look off his face because now he’s glaring at me again. “We’ll cross that bridge if we have to.”

“We won’t be doing it together.”

“Don’t bet on that, my love. You’ll lose.”

FINN

“Finnegan O’Clery, what did you do to that lass?”

My eyes shoot heavenward because my mother’s voice streams into the living room; all I wish for is peace and quiet.

Not that I was receiving some anyway.

Arlo and Kohen have been strategizing moves while my younger brother randomly throws shots at me about Haven, trying to get a rise out of something that’s not there.

However, something apparently has happened because now Ma is including herself with someone that doesn’t matter.

Her chestnut eyes, which are ordinarily filled with kindness and comfort, are fixatedon me as she peers over my shoulder.

“What?” I ask innocently because I’m not entirely sure what I’ve done yet.
