“My husband, the romantic!” I place my palm over my heart as Nico walks over and places a kiss on top of my head.
“This is quite a list, Nico. You sure got around,” Donna teases as she skims the article.
Laughing, I nearly choke on my breakfast. “Hedidput out the first night we met. Are we surprised?” I nod.
Nico snatches the article out of my sister’s hands as he glares at me.
“For the record, I never datedorslept with any of these women.” My husband chuckles as he reads the list.
“Let me guess, Mama Delucci put you in proximity to these women for a photo op?” Maya asks as she steals fruit off my plate.
“I’m just glad those days are over,” Nico sighs in relief before making a plate, ignoring us as we all laugh at his expense.
“Youpoorthing. Speaking of, where is my mother-in-law?” I ask, checking my phone.
“She’s running late, but she’ll be here in about twenty,” Lili answers, fixing herself a plate.
“So, what’s the update on Grayson?” Donna asks once we’re all settled.
Nico sits on a barstool, pulling me between his legs as I let out a sigh.
“We should be hearing back any day now. Doesn’t matter. I know what it’s going to say.”
“Yes!” Donna cheers.
I chuckle. “Why areyouso excited?”
“Because now Dom has competition. He can’t claim to be your favorite brother any more. But I’ll always be your favorite sister.”
“So, what happens when you get confirmation?” Maya asks, chuckling.
“I don’t trust him,” Nico grunts.
“Just that he’s my brother. I need to meet with a financial adviser and lawyer. He’s owed a lot of back pay—he hasn’t had it easy.” I frown.
“You’re going to hand him over some of the businesses?” Donna’s eyebrows shoot up.
“I’m going to start with some stocks, assets, and property. Things that’ll have no impact on me if he sells or screws up. I want to spend more time with him first. If he proves himself useful and trustworthy, I’ll consider more. To be honest, I could use the help, and it would make sense for him to help run things.”
“Let’s not jump the gun. I still think we should be careful. I know you’re itching for help, but he could cause more problems. This could be exactly what he wants, a chance to get his hands on everything. Or he might not want anything to do with the Triad at all,” Nico replies.
“And that’s why the team you put together that I’m not supposed to know about is going to monitor Grayson like they have been since the day you found out,” I sass back.
“Dante and his big mouth,” Nico grumbles into his meal, earning a fit of giggles from us girls.
“It’s shot time!” Maya sings.

“Leave me alone to die,” Liling mumbles into the table, covering her eyes.
“I don’t even think I could escape this hangover in death,” my wife responds, head bobbing as she dozes off, pulling the ball cap down to hide from the evil sunlight.
“I thought it was just supposed to be brunch at the house?” Bash inquires.
“Lower. Your. Voice,” Donna hisses.
“I feel fine! You’re losing your touch, ladies,” Maya chimes as she scans the menu.
