“I must be the luckiest girl in the world to wake up between two handsome men,” she teased, her playful gaze shifting between us. I couldn’t help but chuckle along with her, my heart swelling with affection for her.

“And we’re the luckiest men to have you,” I replied, planting a tender kiss on her forehead.

Caden joined in, enveloping her in a warm embrace. “Couldn’t agree more. Every morning should start out like this.”

Anastasia nestled deeper into the cozy cocoon of our shared warmth, her fingers idly tracing patterns on my chest. “So, about this meeting,” she began, her voice a low murmur that blended seamlessly with the intimacy of the moment.

Caden smirked, his fingers lightly brushing her shoulder. “Yeah, meeting the head of the Colombian cartel is going to be no small feat. You sure you’re up for it, boss?” he teased her, a glint of admiration in his eyes, and she snuggled back in against him before shooting him a playful glare.

“Oh, I can handle myself just fine, thank you very much,” she retorted, her confidence unwavering, yet her cheeks glimmered with the slightest little blush.

Honestly, it was pretty cute.

I chuckled, running my fingers through her hair. “That’s the spirit. But seriously, tread carefully, Anastasia. This is dangerous territory, and the three of us need to be cautious,” I advised, a hint of concern threading through my words.

Caden nodded in agreement. “Yeah, Eduardo plays dirty. Just make sure you’re one step ahead. We believe in you, but it never hurts to be careful,” he added, his gaze locking with hers.

Anastasia’s expression turned serious, her eyes reflecting a determination that resonated with the responsibility she carried. “I appreciate the concern, but I didn’t get to where I am by being reckless. I’ve got this,” she asserted, the steel in her tone matching the resolve in her eyes.

I loved her strength. It was one of the things that had originally drawn me to her in the first place. I couldn’t get enough of it.

Honestly, I couldn’t wait to see her truly shine in this meeting. I had a feeling it was going to be a day to remember.

“We know, little girl,” I murmured, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. She melted between us, her soft little gasp like music to my ears.

“We should get ready,” she murmured, her voice weighted with her reluctance. I kissed her forehead again, echoing her sentiments in silence.

“Ugh, can’t we just stay here a little longer?” Caden mumbled, a playful pout on his lips as he stretched languidly with his arms over his head.

“As much as I’d love to indulge in an all-day cuddle session, we’ve got business to attend to,” I chuckled softly.

“Come on, boys. We’ve got a cartel leader to meet, and I doubt he would appreciate us showing up fashionably late in our pajamas,” Anastasia joined in with a teasing smile.

Caden sighed dramatically. “Fine, fine. But can we at least have breakfast first? I’m not facing a dangerous meeting on an empty stomach.”

Anastasia rolled her eyes, a smirk playing on her lips. “Breakfast it is, then.”

We finally climbed out of bed, and I reached for the suit I’d draped over the nearby chair. Caden disappeared into one of the closets and Anastasia into the bathroom as we all got ready for the day ahead. Caden came back out dressed in a black tailored suit.

Anastasia emerged from the bedroom, dressed in one of Ada’s sleek black and white pinstripe suits that clung to her curves with a commanding elegance. The satin material accentuated every contour, sculpting her silhouette into a vision of power and confidence. The black and white pinstriping added a touch of sophistication to her whole outfit, making her a picture of power. The jacket framed her figure as though it was perfectly tailored for her, and the matching trousers elongated her legs, creating an aura of authority.

As she strode into the room, she exuded a quiet strength, a commanding presence that left no doubt that she was a leader in her own right, an absolute force to be reckoned with, and I couldn’t be prouder.

Honestly, she looked fucking radiant, and she was mine.

Ours.

“Boss, you look like you’re about to conquer the world,” Caden remarked with a grin, his eyes openly appreciative.

I nodded in agreement. “Absolutely. That suit means business. You’ve got the whole ‘mafia queen’ vibe down pat,” I added, a knowing smile playing on my lips.

“Well, if I’m going to lead the Kozlov family, I might as well look the part, right?” she quipped, adjusting the lapels of her jacket.

Caden stepped forward, offering a hand. “Lead the way, our fearless queen. The world awaits,” he teased, a playful glint in his eyes.

She just grinned and headed out of the bedroom, downstairs, and into the kitchen. My brother and I followed her, and I breathed in deep, the aroma of freshly brewing coffee in the air. The morning sunlight streamed through the windows as the three of us worked together to cook a quick breakfast of eggs, bacon, and toast.

We sat down to eat together, sipping on our coffees and chewing each mouthful of food thoughtfully. There was a pile of folders waiting for us on the table, the dossiers Kieran had put together for us in combination with the information Anastasia’s men had found.
