She said, ‘This is the best song ever, best song ever.’”

The three of us danced together as one, the rhythm of the music infusing energy into our steps. For that moment, it felt like the worries and dangers of our tumultuous world had dissipated and faded away.

While twirling Anastasia in our dance, I couldn’t help but be entranced by her ethereal beauty. Her wedding dress flowed gracefully with each movement, and her eyes sparkled with a radiant happiness that was contagious.

As we swirled and dipped across the dance floor, my gaze remained fixed on her, captivated by the sight of the woman I loved who’d now become my wife. Connor took a turn whirling her around, and the look of sheer glee painted all over her face was something I would remember for the rest of my life.

“Music colliding with the words singing what she wanna say.

I hope it’s my name (hey hey)

And every time you hear it, you’ll remember this night again.

Again, and again

So, give me your hand.”

After the song ended and Kieran strode off the stage amid much applause, we made our way back to our seats where twofresh pints of Guinness were waiting for myself and my brother. Anastasia was on her second glass of vodka. I knew she could handle herself.

She’d nearly beaten me in a drinking contest at Irina and Aidan’s wedding, much to my chagrin.

The Irish could drink, but the Russians?Man…

I sipped my pint of Guinness and shook my head.

Ada led a pack of women that came up to swoop Anastasia away from us so that they could dance together. My wife’s eyes flicked to mine and I nodded once.

“Enjoy yourself,” I grinned.

“Yes,Da… I mean Caden,” she stammered, and just when I thought she couldn’t blush any brighter, her face turned as red as a cherry tomato.

“You don’t need to ask him. I give you permission,” Ada exclaimed, winking teasingly in my direction.

“Well, now the real boss has spoken,” Connor replied, his grin nearly splitting his face in two.

“That’s right, boys,” Ada returned, and there wasn’t time left for me to say anything back before she dragged my beautiful bride off to the dance floor.

For a little while, I watched the Murphy women dance together, and I smiled. It was a truly heartwarming sight. The four of them had welcomed my Anastasia with open arms. Now, all five women were as close as sisters, and I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Anastasia’s radiant smile lit up the room and as she caught my eye, I smiled back at her.

Someone clapped me on the back, and I turned only to see my older brother Kieran behind me.

“May we join you?” he asked, and Cormac, Aidan, and Shane sauntered over to sit with us. I sipped at my Guinness, raising an eyebrow as they all plopped down without me saying anything at all.

“Well, well, if it isn’t the two luckiest bastards in Boston! Congratulations on snagging yourselves a powerhouse like Anastasia,” Cormac exclaimed.

Aidan, the usually reserved one, winked playfully. “Never thought I’d see the day when my brothers would share a bride. It’s like a plot twist in one of those spicy romance novels Irina reads.”

Shane, the charismatic kingpin of the Kavanagh family and Ada’s husband, leaned in with a smirk. “I must admit, you’ve outdone yourselves. The alliances with my family, the Kozlovs, and the Morozovs have made the Murphys the most powerful family in the city. It’s a damn good time to be part of this crew.”

Kieran raised his glass with a sly smile. “To unexpected alliances, strong bonds, and becoming the most powerful family in Boston. May this night be just the beginning of our shared successes.”

“Here, here,” my brother and I said in concert as we raised our glasses. The rest of my brothers and Shane each had their own favorite whiskeys, and they raised their glasses along with us.

“To the Murphys,” Shane called out.

“To family,” Kieran proclaimed, and with a round of cheers, the six of us drained our glasses.
