I let one nail scrape over his neck, and his answers come pouring out. He tells me everything. The ins and outs of her organization, how she finds so many people for hire, and exactly how she brings them all under her heel.

He is privy to much more knowledge than any of us could have ever known. In fact, Roberto even knows the address of the warehouse she works out of.

As soon as he’s given me everything I need, I inject him with something that knocks him out. I'm not sure what it is, but Damien gave it to me when I told him I didn’t want to be the one to kill him. It’s not that I’m incapable, I just know my men will want their turn with him.

I pull up the video of his confession and email it to Dr. K, we’re a team after all. Then, I send it to Arrow and Havoc. Tightening my mask and exposing more of my legs by scrunching up my skirt, I lay out on the bed—waiting for them like the temptress I was always trained to be.

I was careful to not dirty the room so that we could still use it if they apologize for doubting my place on our team. Poor Roberto must have thought the tarp under him served another purpose, but I knew exactly what I was doing.

Less than a minute later, two very angry-looking mafia men push their way through the door. Havoc has blood on his white collar. He’s missing his suit jacket, and Arrow is shirtless.

“Looks like we’ve all had fun tonight,” I say as they approach.

Arrow takes in every inch of my body, his jaw going slack as he all but pants. Then, he seems to acknowledge the other man in the room and prowls closer to me, a mixture of frustration and lust clouding his features. I hold up my hand with confidence and he immediately stops.

“Did that man see you like this?”

I shrug. “Briefly.”

“What makes you think it’s okay to show your body to another man?” Havoc asks, coming to stand at Arrow’s side.

I glare at him. “My body, my choice.” He tries to say something else but I hold up a finger. “Besides, I made sure the tarp was down because I know you’re going to kill him. Who cares what he saw?”

Arrow shakes his head, taking a seat beside me and grasping my hand in his so gently that I almost forget that they owe me an apology.

“No one deserves to see this much of you. Not a single person.”

Awe, their possessiveness makes me all tingly.

“I know I’ve struggled with this in the past, but I sent you the video so you could see that I’m good at what I do. I don’t want to be cast aside and fought for. I want to fightwithyou guys.”

I get to my knees on the bed so that Havoc and I are more at eye level.

“I promise to tell you if I don’t want to do something, but you do not get to choose what I do or what I wear. You have to trust that I am all yours, just like you ask me to trust the same of you.”

I turn to Arrow. “And I need you to stand up for me when he gets these crazy ideas about telling me what to do.”

It’s more of a joke, but it’s the truth too. It hurt a bit that he stayed silent when Havoc tried to boss me around.

“I understand, Kitten. I think it took me a minute to process what he even said because our goal has never been to lock you in a tower.”

“Speak for yourself,” Havoc says, spitefully crossing his arms.

“That’s not fair, bro. You’re the one who helped me see that she needed a partner, not a bodyguard.”

Havoc’s arms relax a little and he sighs. Looking down, he shakes his head as if that could erase the thoughts plaguing his mind.

“Okay fine, I don’t want to lock you in a tower, but I also don’t want you making moves that could jeopardize your mental health.”

“That’s fair,” I say. “But if we could have talked about it, you would have known that I walked through my plan with Dr. K, and she helped me see how this is a way that I can take back control.”

His arms drop and Arrow squeezes my hand as Havoc approaches our side. “How did she do that?

“She reminded me of the reason that sex with the two of you doesn’t trigger me. With you two, it’s my safe space, so we can explore while I rewrite the trauma of my story with the good. This is the same thing. He didn’t get to lay a finger on me, I was in control the whole time.”

“But what if something had gone wrong?” Havoc asks, appearing more concerned than angry now.

“Lev was watching the feed the whole time, and a guard was outside. Didn’t you see Gage before you barged in here?”
