I definitely nail it because Gio grins down at me like he’s won, the knife in his hand dripping crimson. I’m not the best at combat, but I’ve been learning new skills to keep these men from besting me.

I cower at his feet, positioning myself at the best angle as he approaches. He’s going to kill me. He believes I’m a liar and it’s fair, I totally am.

Just as he moves to kick me, I grab his heel and knock him off balance. Gio falls on his back right as I take the hand with the blade in it and stab him in the chest. My body collides with his as he gapes up at me.

His stunned face makes me laugh, but that’s shortly cut off when he vomits his blood into my mouth.

I jolt awake and rush to the bathroom. We are still in the VIP room, and I throw a fleeting glance Havoc’s way as I run by. He’s rolling the bloody body bag up when he notices me. I don’t pause though, just keep running. The second I make it to the tiled floor, I know I won’t make it to the toilet. Instead, I lean into the sink and empty my stomach.

The taste of blood coats my tongue even though I know it’s not real. Thank the god of depravity I stocked all of these bathrooms with toothbrushes and basic hygiene needs. I start scrubbing so hard I might actually strip my teeth of enamel and remove a full layer of taste buds from my tongue.

Arrow comes in behind me, blood on his chest from where he must have been helping Havoc, and I heave all over again, some of it landing on him. Quickly, he jumps into the shower and starts washing it away. I refuse to even look in his direction as he yells out to Havoc.

“Warn her before you walk in here so she can shut her eyes.”

“I’m coming in,” he says a second later. I lean over the sink and tightly close my eyes. I want to murder this man right now. He knows I hate blood. Why did he ruin the most blissful post orgasmic haze I’ve ever had with it?

A minute later, they give me the all clear, and I glare at them washing up through the glass partition.

“I told you I was going to slit his throat,” Havoc says right as Arrow slaps him on the back of his head. Havoc rubs at the spot and turns around in the spray.

“What? She shrugged it off. I thought maybe with the blood play you were okay.”

Arrow has his own showerhead and gestures for me to join him under it. Now that I’m not overwhelmed with the urge to vomit, I realize just how sore I am. I don’t want to fight with him. He’s right.

Something about seeing their blood as lube was so hot. But when it started sliding out of Roberto’s neck, it reminded me too much of that blood spurting in my mouth.

“You’re right,” I breathe, leaning back into Arrow. “I think I’m okay with your blood in small quantities, but I draw the line there.”

“Noted,” Havoc says.

My core aches and my legs shake. By the time I actually make it under the water with Arrow, my knees nearly buckle. He holds onto me until I can stay standing on my own, then he begins to carefully clean my body. My ass is sore as hell. I’m shocked no blisters have formed, but it’s going to be very bruised for the next day or two.

Thank goodness it was our soft opening tonight, allowing us to make changes based on the initial feedback. I’m going to need to regain my ability to sit if I’m going to help run this show.

Havoc moves behind me and massages shampoo in my hair. I relax into him and let that haze fall back over my brain. When they touch me together, even just to wash me, it feels like I’m in a dream-like state.

“I’m sorry, my unicorn.” It’s a whisper, but I can feel the sincerity in it. He didn’t want to ruin that moment any more than I wanted it ruined.

I let out a contented sigh into him, showing him I still love him. I know relationships are about balance and so are scenes. We learn and grow and adapt with each other. That’s what makes it worth it.

“It’s okay.” I press a soft kiss to his lips. “I still love you.”

He nuzzles into my neck. “I love you too.”

When he pulls back my eyes drift to the door. “Is everything cleaned up out there?”

“It is. The body is being disposed of, and I didn’t get a drop of bl-”

I hold a finger to his lips. “Don’t even say it.”

He chuckles, and I drop my hand. “Alright then. There is nothing out there that should bother you.”

I take a deep breath. “I packed some clothes. Let me get changed so we can go home.”

I turn around for Havoc to rinse my hair. He kisses my neck gently. “Whatever you want, baby girl.”

Things may be challenging right now, but the three of us have never been more in sync. Despite the death threats, right now all I feel is happiness.
