A slow smile spread across his cousin’s face, and he held his hand up for a high five. But Nassau didn’t move, only waited for him to get the hint and leave.

“Okay, okay. I got you. Ummm, so my dad wants me to get her downstairs for an update. And, yeah.” He nodded proudly, almost conspiratorially, looking over his shoulder at the bed, trying to sneak a glance at Bailey, but Nassau closed the door in his face.

“Shit. Now the entire world will know.” Throwing the blanket off, she flew around the room, picking up random items and heading into the bathroom. He grabbed his own clothes and pulled them on. He didn’t care if people knew. Hell, he wanted to shout it to the world, keep everyone else away from her, and declare her his at this point.

But that was the opposite of what she wanted, and she had her reasons. So, he stood in the middle of the room, unsure of what to do, until she walked out of the bathroom in a towel. She rushed around the room, rummaging through her suitcase and muttering to herself.

“I can go out the window.”

She looked up distractedly, then waved him away. “No, no. That’s ridiculous. Just go on down—I’ll be there in a minute.”

He turned to leave, but paused when she dropped the towel to pull on panties. Bent over the suitcase, he stared at her perfect ass, then hustled downstairs, hoping the kitchen was empty. No such luck. He felt his uncle’s eyes follow him around the kitchen as he piled his plate with pancakes, and his aunt raised her eyebrow at him when he sat down.

“Sleep good?”

He glared at Zhair, knowing he couldn’t keep his mouth shut even if his life depended on it, and Lana giggled in the silence. “I’m betting he had a busy night.”

“Enough.”

Axel’s grumpiness usually didn’t extend to Lana or Nubia, but today, he was clearly aggravated. His plate was empty, and he was ready to head out, which meant he had been waiting on Bailey. So, when she finally entered the kitchen, she only grabbed toast before sitting next to Lana, just out of his sight.

“Bailey. I received confirmation they reached their destination, and they are going to join some kind of shopping party you set up?”

“Yes. There’s always a group of girls who shop on Friday, make a day and night of it, and wear their outfits on Saturdays. It’s flashy, public, and a perfect way to draw attention. I’m going to do a Day with the Girls segment for PackNewsOne. Isaiah is going to wear a body cam, and I will go live. A little bit of bait for the stalker.”

Axel grunted, frowning at her for a second. “Very good.”

“Keoni will set up all my cameras so I can stream and prep video. Isaiah is under orders to have extra fun as me, so it’s clear I’m there.”

“Orders?”

“Yeah. I made a list of things he could do and not do as me. We practiced, and I checked in several times to make sure he remembered. Keoni will encourage attention-getting behavior, and since Cass is with him, she will make sure he doesn’t do anything I wouldn’t do.”

“Sounds like you planned it well.”

“Not only is this my livelihood and my passion, but my life on the line. I didn’t just choose Isaiah to be petty. Like peoplementioned, he is more like me than I want to admit. If anyone could sell it, it’s him.”

“I’ve always said there is more to Isaiah than he wants us to think. I’m glad he’s found his stride as a woman.”

Zhair choked on his food, and Lana actually spit hers across the room. Axel rarely joked, and he didn’t crack a smile, so they couldn’t even tell if he was being serious, but the twinkle in Nubia’s eye meant he said that on purpose.

“Once he is given his face and body back, you’ll have a hard time keeping him from the mate tour.”

“I think you’re right. But let’s focus on the matter at hand. Until they catch your stalker, you still need to stay under surveillance, no matter if you think he is here or not. You also need to stay out of sight while Isaiah is putting on a show as you, so no one catches on you’re here and not there. Technically, we don’t know who it is. Could have an informant, whether it’s here or in Aisling.”

“Agreed.”

“So, you’ll go back to Aisling for the weekend, and stay in your house with your parents under the watch of the Aisling army. Out of sight. It will look like you’re leaving here to go on the tour.”

“Yes, sir.”

“We will reassess Monday. If your stalker still hasn’t shown himself, then we will bring you back as a precaution. Make it look like you’re going to the parties even if he’s still here watching. He doesn’t want to infiltrate Tuisa but seems comfortable with Aisling for some reason.”

“Why not keep her here all weekend then? Why are you sending her back?”

Surprised at his own question, but afraid for her, he worried she wouldn’t be safe. The only place he felt she was safe, was by his side.

“Because this was never supposed to be permanent, and as much as I don’t mind helping, she is still part of the Aisling pack. Not ours. That’s where she belongs.”
