“Thank you.”

There is a knock on the bus and Skylar goes to get it. Some guy steps onto the bus. He is short, tan, with dark hair and eyes to match. He has a beard and mustache.

“Hey, Abbey, this is Greg, Greg, Abbey.”

“Hey.” Greg greets me.

“Hey.” I respond.

“Have a seat. This will just be a minute.” He says and walks down the bus toward the bunks, leaving Greg and me alone.

“Abbey Dark.” Greg grins, flashing me pointy teeth that make me feel like he is a predator and I, prey. “I can’t believe I’m in your presence.”

“Are you in a band?” I ask.

“No. I supply the bands.” He laughs.

I nod. He is a drug dealer.

It’s not like I haven’t been around them before. Before getting signed I was around them often. One even forced me to suck his dick. Then there was my mother’s ex-boyfriend when I was seven who molested me. Then of course all the parties my mother made me go to with her. I am not unfamiliar with drug dealers, but I still feel uneasy. Sue will not like this. She will probably flip out if she finds out I’m in the presences of a drug dealer without him signing an NDA.

“You need anything?” He asks after a moment. “You look like an upper. I have some coke.”

“I’m fine. Thanks though.” I force myself to smile.

“A thizzle? On the house of course.” He smiles back at me.

“No. I’m good.”

“Here.” Skylar comes back with a wad of cash, handing it to Greg. Not suspicious at all.

Greg doesn’t bother counting it. He just stuffs the money in his pocket. He pulls out a black bag from his other pocket and sets it on the table.

“I threw in some fresh needles. This batch is grade A shit, so be careful.”

“I will.”

“If you share with her, give her a small dose. She is tiny and I don’t want to be responsible for killing the amazing AbbeyDark.” He laughs. He pulls out a drug baggie from his pocket. “And for you, beautiful.” He drops the baggie on the table in front of me.

It’s a small bag with a green pill in it with a horseshoe on it. I know its thizz from my high school days. I freeze, not sure what to do.

“I don’t have any cash on me.” I whisper.

“It’s on the house, lovely.” He smiles at me. “If you like it, hit me up. I have connections all over the place. Sky has my number. You two have fun now. Be safe.” He winks before walking toward the bus door. He leaves.

Skylar takes the black bag off the table and heads down to his bunk. He comes back a minute later.

“You can trust Greg. He supplies most the bands on the label. He signed an NDA for me, so it should cover you since it’s my bus. His stuff is always so pure.” Skylar smiles. I take the pill from the table and slide it into my pocket. “I got the works, so I’ll be set for a while. I got some extra in case you want anything. A few ecstasy pills, some coke, some H.” He shrugs.

“You shoot up heroin?” I don’t try to cover up my shock. Doing heroin was bad, but shooting it up was another level of bad, dangerous even.

“Occasionally.” He shrugs. “It’s really not as awful as they say. Nice mellow high if you use it right. Just a small amount, and you are just floating for a while. Come on, I have to do sound check.”

“I have to go back to my bus.”

“Do you?” He raises an eyebrow. “Why?”

I shrug. I know Sue told me to go back, but I also know she wants me to hang out with Skylar, like the label does.
