“I won’t fuck you if you’re on drugs.”
“I know.”
“I thought this would be enough.” His voice laced with disappointment and pain.
“I’m not doing drugs tonight.” I hate seeing him hurting. “It’s enough.”
But I’m lying. It isn’t enough. I want to fall asleep in his arms. I want to be with him, but that isn’t possible. I’m not goodenough for that, so I’ll have to settle for being full of his cum and wearing his hoodie.
At least until this tour is over. Once this tour is over, and there is distance between us, then it will be really over. It has to be.
“Promise me.”
“I promise.”
“Good.” He wraps his arms around me and gives me a kiss on the top of my head. “I love you.” He whispers. “Goodnight, Abbey.”
“Goodnight, Wes.”
I start walking towards Skylar’s bus as I text him.
“Meet you at your bus.”
I’m waiting outside Skylar’s bus when he comes walking up.
“Hey.”
“Hey.”
“Ready to roll?” He asks with a smile.
“Actually, I think I’m good.”
“Really?” I nod. “Okay. We will save it for another night. You want to drink?” I nod.
We climb back onto his bus.
It’s been almost two hours, and I’ve lost track of the amount of alcohol I’ve had. Skylar just keeps passing me drinks.
“Come on.” Skylar slurs to me, pulling on my arm. He leads me to the back of the bus. I wobble a little, trying to stand up straight as we stumble towards his bunk. “Bump?” he asks, pulling out his black bag full of drugs.
“No, thanks.” I slur. I promised Wes. “I should go.” I’m feeling really fucked up suddenly.
“Stay the night.” His fingers brush against my face.
“I can’t.”
“Why?”
My head is spinning. The room is spinning. I don’t remember the last time I’ve been this messed up.
“She will be mad.”
“Sue? Your manager?” I nod. “Why do you let her control you?”
“I have to go.” I mumble, taking a step back.
“Abbey.” He speaks, grabbing my arm and spinning me to look at him. “I really like you.”
