“Desperately.” He says, starting to walk again. “Fuck.”

“I’m sorry.” I say, but I’m smiling.

He wants me. He likes me. He is too good for me.

“You have nothing to be sorry about.”

We are nearing the bus. When we are within sight of the buses, he removes his arm from around my shoulder and turns me so I’m facing him again.

“Abbey.” He stares into my eyes, and I feel myself getting lost in the creamy, cameral color of his eyes. “I know we decided to just be friends, but I’m desperate to know what your lips feel like.” I instinctively bite my lip. “Fuck.” He breathes out and looks away.

I stand on my tippy toes and press my lips to his.

Fuck just friends at this moment, I’m desperate, too desperate for him.

His hand wraps around my head, holding it gently as his lips move against mine. His other hand wraps around my waist, pulling me closer to him. His lips press against mine hard and move with such force I’m taken aback for a moment. I’ve never kissed anyone like this before.

He pulls back for a moment. His fingers stroke my cheek as he looks into my eyes. He quickly presses his lips back against mine, this time moving more slowly, more deliberately.

I don’t realize my hips are moving against his leg until his hand, gripping my waist, moves to my hips, rolling it against him more. My arms wrap around his neck, pulling him closer to me.

I break the kiss to let out a small moan.

“Jesus.” He says, pulling away from me. “Fuck.” He lets out a deep breath, his hand steadying my hip. He takes a step back. “Holy shit.”

“What?”

“That was amazing.” He says, but he is moving further away from me, creating a space between us. He turns slightly away from me so I can only see his side profile. He rubs a thumb against his chin just below his lip. “Okay.” He nods. “Okay.

“Wes.”

“Thank you for that.” He says, walking back up to me. He puts his arm around my shoulder again. “Wow.”

“No, thank you.” I whisper.

He chuckles.

“I hope that did for you what it did for me.” He says as we start walking again. “Maybe a little aid to your scratching.” He laughs again. “Fuck.”

He stops walking once we get to my bus. He removes his hand from around my shoulder.

“Well, this is where I leave you.” He says.

“Yeah. Um.” I pause, not sure what to say. A part of me wants to invite him back on my bus. Partly because I wasn’t ready to be away from him, but another part of me wanted to fuck him. “Thank you. Tonight was really fun.”

“It was.” He nods. “And you get to come on my bus tomorrow.” I blush, thinking about a different kind of come. He laughs as if reading my mind. “Goodnight, Abigail Dark.”

“Goodnight, Wes.”

He leans in and gives me a kiss on the cheek before turning and walking away.

I’m lying in my bunk after having Sue grill me on the events of the night. She asked me what I ate, did I throw up, and even asked if I had fucked Wes, like it was any of her business. I’m glad to be able to answer honestly, my only lie being not telling her I didn’t eat all my food. I ate a good amount, much more than the sandwich she would’ve made me for dinner.

Now, I’m laying here in my bunk, rows down from Sue’s bunk, turned on from that kiss with Wes.

I like him way more than I should. I don’t think I’ve ever felt the way I feel for him for anyone before, and I’ve certainly never been kissed like that, either. It is terrifying, but he is so different from any of the other guys I’ve been with. He is kind and nice. Charming, handsome, with big, brown eyes that I could get lost in. His dark hair had just the right amount of curl to it. His tan skin is warm and smooth. He is tall, lean, and so protective of me.

He is sexy, with a voice that’s deep and full of grit. He sang beautifully and wrote amazing songs that I feel so connected to. He is the whole package.
