"Hoping for early afternoon."

"Great. Text me when you're done, and we'll meet up. I'm going to write on the balcony and stare at the ocean for a few hours, then I might wander to the beach for some suntanning."

He handed her phone back, and she glanced down. She choked on her coffee, making some drip down onto her yoga shirt.

He grinned mischievously. "You ok, sunshine?"

She narrowed her eyes at him and took a drink to soothe her throat. He winked, making her blush. "Master?"

He shrugged. "Why not? I like teasing you and seeing that blush creep up your neck. How far down—"

Her phone alarm went off. "Ah, it's time for a writing sprint."

He stood and stretched. "I have to get to work anyway. I'll see you later?"

She nodded and Mason disappeared inside. When he came out, Mason was dressed in jeans and sneakers and a plain blue t-shirt.

He smiled and put his sunglasses on his nose, then leaned over to kiss her cheek. She felt a spike of nerves in her stomach. It was such an adorable, domesticated thing to do, kissing her goodbye before he left for work.

Her body had other ideas though, automatically turning her lips to meet his.

She gasped and opened her mouth as he groaned, then his hands wrapped around her. The duel was on.

There was no other word for it. It was like their tongues were fighting or dancing. She was swept up in the kiss, the taste of him flooding her senses. Her knees went weak, but he took the kiss deeper.

It set off a wild need within her. Where he touched, her body came alive as if from hibernation, as if she hadn't had mind blowing orgasms last night. This was what she'd been missing for so long. This feverish need made her lose all thoughts and inhibitions. It was better than getting drunk, better than chocolate and a bubble bath.

A sound bounced through her mind, but it wasn't until he broke the kiss and nibbled her lower lip that she registered her second phone alarm.

He pulled back and sighed, brushing her hair away from her face with a smile. "Have a great day, sunshine."

Her breath was ragged as she said, "You too, master."

He opened the door and looked over his shoulder with a grin. "Good girl. I like the sound of that on your lips."

She grinned. "Maybe master will like something else on my lips later."

His eyebrows rose as he chuckled, "Oh, definitely."

He shut the door behind him. Her heart rate eventually slowed, then she turned back to her book, typing away as a rush of inspiration hit.

Her phone alarm went off hours later, and she stretched. She made good progress on her book, but her stomach was growling now. She got up, changed, and headed for the front building to find the lunch buffet.

When her phone rang, she smiled. "Taylor! It's so good to hear your voice."

"Hey babe, tell me all the things. How's hunky roommate man?"

Lucy kept up a steady stream of chatter with Taylor on the phone, filling her in on all that'd happened on her trip so far. She walked through the jungle, following the golf cart trail to the main resort building.

She was determined to enjoy the island and relax. She told her friend bye and pulled up her phone itinerary. There were so many places she planned on exploring.

She smiled at the hostess and gave her drink order, then grabbed a plate and hit the buffet. She had just sat down and taken two bites when Mason sat across from her with a heaping plate.

She blinked. "Oh, did you get off work early? I wasn't expecting you back for another few hours."

The waitress brought him coffee. Before he took a bite, he nodded. "Yeah, I was relieved of my shift. So what's on our agenda for today?"

She grinned and leaned forward. "Are you really joining me?"
