Just then, Taylor came bounding up behind him. Her eyes widened when they met Lucy's over Mason's shoulder. "Oh thank God, I was thinking no one was going to pop that cherry. Do you need a condom? I've got a few in my bra."

She started to dig inside, but Lucy was afraid her boob would come out. "No, no, it's not like that."

"It might be like that," Mason growled into her ear. He kissed the side of her neck, making her shiver and her eyes flutter. Holy mother of pearl. Mason was one hot mother fucker. She blushed as she heard her grandmother reprimanding her in her head for that language.

Taylor grinned. "Right," she drawled out. "I'll just leave this on the table, shall I? We really need to invest in a bowl of free condoms or something at these parties."

Lucy couldn't catch her breath with Mason so close. She squeezed his biceps as panic set in, but he pulled back and turned to smile at Taylor. "Hey," he nodded his head.

Lucy could practically see Taylor swoon, and it was too early for her to be drunk. She snorted and poured another drink. This time, she chugged it herself.

Taylor hooted. "Hell yeah, now it's a party! Ready to dance, Luce? Lover boy here can drag you upstairs when we're done."

Lucy didn't have time to argue. Taylor grabbed her hand and dragged her into the other room. She looked over her shoulder in time to see Mason slide the condom off the table and into his pocket.

Chapter 3

Mason nursed his beer and leaned against the wall by the stairs. It offered the best view of those going up and down, the front door, and the living room crowd. Simon covered the back door and kitchen area.

His eyes kept straying to where Lucy danced. She'd been pretty stiff at first, but then she'd loosened up when that drink hit her system. How old was she? He frowned, shaking off the itch that came whenever he thought of someone breaking the law.

He knew she'd graduated today. His grandpa had invited him to the ceremony, but he'd had to work.

The way she moved reminded him again of a beautiful bird flitting here and there, strong but delicate. He wanted to see her soar and ride his dick with those tits bouncing.

He took another swig of his beer, and his smart watch vibrated, and he glanced down.

Incoming.

The message from Simon brought him out of his reverie. His senses seemed to heighten as he glanced around. He took a swig of his beer and tried his best to throw off a casual, don't give a fuck attitude.

A guy in slacks and an un-tucked oversized button down shirt came through the kitchen door. He had a goofy grin on his face, but his clean cut hair and demeanor screamed spoiled rich boy slumming it.

Three druggies filed in behind him, each holding on tightly to a girl. The girls were giggling as the guys were copping a feel, and Mason fought to control his face. The girls acted like they enjoyed it, and for the life of him, he couldn't figure out why.

Images of his ex flew through his mind, of her making that same damn giggle, of placing her hand on his chest just like they were doing. Bile rose in his throat, but he choked it down with another swig of his beer.

The ring leader circled the room, seeming to talk to every person there. He stopped at Lucy and her dark haired friend, his smile widening. Lucy seemed to stiffen even as she smiled and chatted. Her friend threw her arms around his neck, and he could hear her even over the noise of the music.

"Kevin, I didn't know you'd be here."

He grinned and slid his hands down her ass to squeeze. "Heard you were here, love. Where else would I go?"

Lucy's friend laughed and kissed him on the cheek. "Later. I'm celebrating my friend tonight."

He wiggled his eyebrows. "You know where to find me." He smacked her on the ass as he walked past to talk to the next person. Somehow, Mason wasn't able to catch any other conversations.

Then the man child approached him. Mason tipped his head up in the universal nod of hello, and the guy put his hands in his pockets and returned the nod. "Hey man, haven't seen you around before. Welcome."

Mason arched a brow and shrugged. "Heard this was the place to be after graduation, so here I am."

"Congrats on the grad, man. Enjoy yourself. Don't drink and drive, wrap it before you tap it, and all that shit."

The guys laughed as the man grinned and turned to go upstairs. They all went upstairs. Mason drained his beer and walked back to the kitchen for another. He tossed the empty one in the trash and pulled out his phone to send a message.

Upstairs.

He opened the new beer and shot the cap into the trash like a basketball. A few other guys ribbed him for it, but he grinned and cheered his beer with at least two of them. His watch vibrated, and he looked down.
