He'd given her the side eye, and she'd burst out laughing.

He'd mumbled, "Not funny." But she definitely thought it was.

That was yesterday. She'd thought after the doctor had declared her healed enough to get in the water that they would come back to the resort and hump like bunnies. But they'd just walked the beach, hand in hand, eventually falling asleep on the lounger as they watched the sunset.

It had been incredibly relaxing, but she was getting sexually frustrated. They only had a few days left in paradise, and Lucy wanted to make them count. They were bittersweet, knowing that they would still be going their separate ways at the end.

Lucy didn't want to think about how hard it'd be when they went back home.

She stretched, smiling at the memories of the past few days as the early morning light started to change. Energy flooded her, making her legs itch. She needed to get up and do yoga, calm down and find her center. But Mason groaned and pulled her closer.

She smiled, relaxing against him. He'd slept with a hand on her all night every night, either holding her hand or wrapping his around her waist to spoon. Last night when they'd finally pulled the covers up, he'd growled into her neck, "I'm not letting you go."

She'd smiled, a thrill going through her body and forming goosebumps. She'd dreamed of them together back in Crimson Creek, living together in Ray's house and watching movies together.

She blinked the sleep away, rubbing her eyes and watching as the sky got lighter. She was content. For the first time in as long as she could remember, she didn't want to just jump up and get to work, rushing through to the next class, next assignment, next appointment, next task on her list.

She was perfectly happy to just lay there in his arms. The sun met the clouds as it climbed higher, blocking some of the rays. She sighed, knowing this relationship was just for the duration of this trip. They'd agreed; he just wasn't ready. His work was dangerous. He was grieving.

And she... Well, you couldn't blame a girl for wishing they could have more. She frowned and turned in his arms, snuggling into his chest. She just needed to soak in all the boyfriend memories to tide her over. She just hoped someone else would come around.

There was no way anyone would ever measure up to him, though.

Groggily, he opened one eye and groaned, "Is it time to get up?"

She nodded, breathing in the smell of coconuts from whatever lotion he used. He wrapped his arms around her, kissed her head, and then rolled the other way out of bed.

She sat up, the sheet pooling at her waist, and watched him walk to the bathroom in his boxers. The water turned on. She threw back the covers and scrambled to join him. Maybe he would finally fuck her if she was standing in front of him naked.

He sucked in a deep breath when she stepped into the shower, but he didn't say a word. Then he stepped aside and helped her soap up, his hands roaming her body and cleaning every square inch.

They were both panting when his fingers dipped inside, and she propped a foot on the bench to give him better access. His kiss took her breath away, and then he curled his fingers slightly. They'd had soft kisses since the kidnapping, but this one went down to her soul.

Her orgasm took her by surprise, convulsive waves gripping her as she tensed. His mouth was hungry, sweeping his tongue inside and making her knees weak from need. She rode his hand, gasping and breaking the kiss.

Her gaze met his as her pulsing slowed. His lips tipped up in the most panty melting smile she'd ever seen. His heated blue gaze held hers, bold and full of promises. Then he slid the fingers out and turned off the water.

He stepped out of the shower, leaving her feeling bereft.

She trailed after him and stepped into the towel he held out for her. "What about you?"

He kissed her nose and lifted his eyebrows. "What about me?"

She frowned, confused because his cock was rock hard. She palmed it, making him freeze in his tracks. His eyes zeroed in on her like a hawk.

"Don't you want me anymore?" She hated how small her voice sounded, the vulnerability clear.

He pressed his palm on the door jamb of the bathroom, trapping her against it. Her core clenched and she whimpered.

His eyes swept over her, his eyes heavy with desire. "I always want you, sunshine. But are you sure this is what you want?"

She felt heat spread on her cheeks as she nodded her head. "I'll always want you, Mason."

And not just physically. She stared at him, snapping her mouth closed and trying not to tell him just how much she wanted him as a permanent part of her life.

He cupped her face with his hands, and his eyes softened before he dipped his head and kissed her. His lips melted to hers like they were made for each other. Then his tongue swirled inside, making her toes curl. Now that she'd had a taste of him, she wanted more. Craved him. Needed him to fill the empty void inside.

She dropped the towel and wrapped her arms around him, pressing him closer. He groaned, sinking deeper into the kiss.
