“I’ve always wanted kids,” she replies without hesitation and with a softness to her smile. “I want to shower them in equal unconditional love.”

Her gaze flicks to her mother and her face falls on a deep sigh.

“You’ll make a wonderful mother, Caitlin.”

“You think so?” There’s so much hope in her voice.

“I know so.”

Shewouldmake a great mother. It’s a pity she’s so young. A strange surge goes through my stomach, almost like longing.

I take a deep breath and shake off this strange feeling, reminding myself that Caitlin is a means to an end. She may be too young to be a potentialMrs Byrneand the mother of my children, but she’s not too young to be used for my dirty summer of revenge.

And what haven’t I planned for her… A low growl travels up my chest.

“We have to shop for props for the photo shoot this week,” I say as all my blood heads south, swelling my cock, again desperate for the release that I deprived myself of earlier.

“Of course, Mr Byrne,” Caitlin replies, her face open and completely unaware of my dark intentions. Her submissive innocence is an aphrodisiac like no other. I glance over at Tarawho now has a death grip on young Oisin’s arm. How the hell will someone like her be able turn me on after my summer with Caitlin?

“Dublin must be the only capital in Europe that doesn’t have an underground,” I huff as we fight the crowds of locals and tourists to cross O’Connell bridge.

Aidan glances down at me. “You know why, don’t you?”

“No, why?”

“It’s because of all the pipes from St. James’s Gate.”

I stop. Jostled by yet another passer-by as I stare up at Aidan.

“Pipes?”

“Yes. Guinness pipes from the brewery to all the old pubs.” He grabs my arm and moves me along. “It would be impossible to build an underground without messing up the intricate pipe systems.”

My jaw drops. “I-I didn’t know this. I thought Guinness was transported in barrels.”

The burst of laughter from Aidan is so loud that people turn. “You’re so gullible!”

“Ah, you…” I hit his arm. “I believed you!”

“I know.” He’s still laughing, but he tucks me under his arm, protecting me from the bustle of people. “You’re adorable.”

I don’t think anyone has ever had their arm around me like this. I can’t even remember Dad doing it, although I’ve seen him do it to Fin many times. I can’t imagine it’s as nice as being under Aidan’s arm, though. His muscles are flexing as he easily tucks me closer to him to avoid me bumping into someone. I get lost in this sensation of being taken care of, but stop when Aidan tries to guide me into a shop on O’Connell Street.

“No… No, I can’t go in here!”

His grin is almost evil as he puts pressure on my back and forces me over the threshold. Heat burns in my cheeks, and I keep my eyes trained on the floor.

“We need to find the right props for the photo shoot.”

“Surely we’ll not find it in Ann Summers,” I whisper yell. “And what if someone sees me here!”

“No one from your church would venture over the bridge to the north side of town. And besides, they would have to explain what they were doing in this shop. Let’s see if we can find something your size.”

He lifts a hanger from a rail. It’s a white, almost translucent bra with cups so low, they would probably show half the nipple.
