That earns him a small smile. “How sweet.”

He shrugs. “I try.”

Axe appears next. Of course, he looks gorgeous. He always does. The suit doesn’t make him more or less attractive. He just is.

Though, my opinion might be tainted by his unilateral decision to make me his sex slave for help with Gael.

“I’m certainly glad I hired more security tonight. You’re liable to cause a riotous bidding war.”

“Go fuck yourself, Axe.”

He smirks at me. “Promises, promises.”

“You know, I never actually agreed to your terms, Troyan.”

Axe cocks a brow at me. “First names, is it? OK then, Ms. Collins. Do you have a better bargain?”

“I do.”

Movement over Axe’s shoulder captures my gaze. It’s Dashel.

Every thought vanishes. The words simply delete themselves from my mind, replaced by a single thought.

Dashel is the most beautiful man I’ve ever seen.

“Seven flaming realms, Dashel.”

The succubus stands there like a god of desire, hair loose and waving around his face, suit shirt unbuttoned at the neck like he’s just come from a secret affair. It’s effortless, sensual perfection. He’s so stunning, I don’t notice the itch until it’s too late.

“Imagine just waking up and looking like an infernal sex god.”

My cheeks go up in flames as Dashel stares at me.

“Imagine thinking I care what you think.”

“Oh, ouch. That one really hurt, Dash,” I say with a pretend pout.

That earns me an eye roll. “Don’t call me Dash. My friends call me that, and you, Dove, are not my friend.”

I want to yell at him. Demand he explain why violating my privacy earns me treatment like this.

I don’t because I don’t yell, and Dashel never liked me. So, I suppose nothing’s really changed.

“I might not be your friend, but I can still tell how much you want to get your hands on my private real estate.”Ew, brain, why? What a stupid choice of words.

Dashel’s eyes blacken. Corner to corner, lid to lid. “That’s right, Dove. That’s all I am. A sex demon.”

He blinks out of the lair before I can reply.

“What in the hells in his problem?” I ask the room.

“You’ll need to take it up with him,” Bastian says.

“Well, I would, but every time I try, he storms off and doesn’t tell me what his actual issue is.”

“Oh, oh. I know!” Enzo, more wired than usual, has his hand in the air, bouncing on his toes like he wants me to call on him.

Axe clears his throat. “Say a word about Dash’s business, Enzo, and I’ll make sure that little project in your room...”
