“Choke on my dick, Axe.”

He traces a finger down my cheek. “For you, Dove? I’d consider it.”

One moment, he’s in front of me. The next, he, Bastian, and Enzo are all seated in the front row, looking up at me.

The murmuring crowd falls silent.

“The heirs certainly outdid themselves tonight, didn’t they?” the announcer coos to the crowd while eyeing me.

As repugnant as it is being naked in front of what must be at least a hundred vampires, it’s even worse when I catch sight of Stevie, Jess, and Austin, sitting in the middle part of the warehouse.

Do you need help?Stevie mouths to me. I give her the smallest head shake.

There’s nothing the three of them can do against all these vampires and the three heirs who set this all up.

“Would you like to address your adoring fans before we begin?” The announcer puts the microphone in my face.

I swallow, putting a quiver in my voice. “I-I’m not from here. I don’t know what’s happening. Th-the heirs, they’ve—” I choke out a pretty convincing sob. “They’ve been keeping me in their l-lair, and I ju-just want to go home.”

On cue, a tear slides down my cheeks.

The crowd goes absolutely feral. Vampires jump to their feet, hissing and shouting, demanding to start the auction.

I hazard a quick glance at the heirs. A vein pulses in Axe’s forehead. Bastian looks horrified, mouth agape and eyes wide. While Enzo grins next to him, giving me a thumbs up.

Thanks for the idea, you little freak.

“You little devil.” The announcer lowers the mic. “You’ve whipped them up into a frenzy. This isn’t your first rodeo, is it?”

I turn to look him dead in the eyes, dropping my pitiful expression for the briefest second the camera is on the crowd.

“No. But I intend for it to be my last,” I snarl.

The plastic vampire quirks a brow at me before bowing his head the slightest fraction.

He spins, facing the crowd once more. “And let the bidding begin!”

A flurry of paddles rise so fast, I can’t tell whose was first.

“One-hundred thousand, to the gentlemen in the suspenders.”

“One ten.” He points to someone in the back.

“One twenty, one forty, fifty, sixty, seventy.”

“Three hundred thousand,” calls a familiar feminine voice.

What that…

Olivia?

“We have three hundred thousand from the blonde demon to my right.”

“Four hundred,” a vampire calls from the other side.

“Five.”

“Six!”
