She lifted her gaze to his face and those delicious tawny eyes. “There’s more?”

“Took me three years to get it done.”

“Really?” Now she definitely wanted to see the rest of it.

“My mom’s Welsh and my father’s mixed race with a healthy dollop of Samoan. I combined the two into a pretty cool design with a very talented tattoo artist.”

The design made her want to trace all the flowing lines and shading that looked like a dragon’s scales mixed with armor. So many textures. She’d always been tactile. It was what made her a good artist. It was rare for her to find a man that drew out that side of her.

Talk about a day for rarities.

She slid her arms into the sage-colored linen shirt. His scent immediately enveloped her. She’d caught a light whiff of it when they were kissing, but his mouth had distracted her from noticing anything else.

Dark and full bodied like he was it filled her senses, leaving her lightheaded. Overwhelming in a way she didn’t want to let go of. And when he took her hand again, she let herself be pulled along after him.

The way she was feeling, she was afraid she’d follow him wherever he wanted to go. Dinner, the beach, even his bed.

She was ready for anything.

It was mildly terrifying and utterly thrilling. Once they got to the parking lot he smiled down at her. “Where to?”

“Lot E.”

He weaved through the aisles of cars and trucks as if he knew where he was going. The signs for Lot E led them to the back parking lot. Instead of asking her for more directions, he steered her toward a familiar red sports car.

“We’re almost to my car.”

His eyebrows shot up. “Oh. Well, that’s handy. I really was just looking for a place to kiss you senseless again.”

“What makes you think it was that good?”

He walked backwards and drew her into his body. “Oh, you know there was magic. Why else am I here?”

“You’re better than my blind date by a mile?”

“Thank God for that. I was afraid he was your boyfriend.”

“My best friend set me up with him.”

“I think you need to talk to your best friend.”

No freaking kidding. Natalie was going to get an earful if she thought that Daniel was her type. Jeeze, just how far had she fallen if her friend thought she was that desperate?

Vance brushed his finger under her chin and lifted her mouth to his. It only took a moment to forget all about Daniel and her craptastic date.

This kiss wasn’t nearly as sweet and camera-worthy. It was the kind of kiss that turned her blood to syrup and spun out in a lazy sort of devouring that was better suited to a bedroom.Instead, they were standing under a stadium light, her ass pressed to the side panel of a classic Mustang.

And she didn’t want it to stop.

With languid strokes of his tongue, he opened her until there wasn’t a secret corner of her mouth that he hadn’t tasted. When he finally drew back, she found herself wrapped around him, her breasts crushed into the solid slab of stone that was his chest.

Lord, he was hard everywhere.

Everywhere.

His cargo pants certainly didn’t hide just how the kiss affected him. Instead of stepping back, she hooked her knee around his thigh, giving him theall goodsign.

He took it and ran with it, lifting her onto the car.
