I shot her a smirk. "Maybe I've been waiting for the right person. Commitments aren't my thing. If you've lived for three centuries, you'd know what I mean."
Her eyebrows raised. "Ouuu. I still find it hard to believe that you haven't had a lover in centuries."
I turned to face her, my grin widening. "Well, you did catch that bear costume today. Quite the accomplishment, I'd say."
Evelyn smirked. "Now you are changing the topic. Got burned by an ex? Maybe a hundred years old vampire hottie?"
I placed a hand over my heart, feigning shock. "What is going on in your head, Evelyn?"
"No answer?" she replied, a gleam in her eyes. "I guess that’s my proof right there."
I shrugged, and she laughed even more.
"So, Alexei," Evelyn teased, "what's your idea of a perfectevening?"
I leaned against the counter, contemplating. "Good food, engaging conversation, and perhaps a beautiful woman to stare at all night."
Her eyes sparkled. "Sounds like we're already living the dream."
I nodded. "But something is missing."
She raised an eyebrow. "And what's that?"
"A dance," I declared, extending my hand towards her. "A celebration of partnership."
Evelyn laughed, placing her hand in mine. We swayed to the imaginary melody, our laughter echoing in the quiet kitchen.
"I could do this forever," I said, guiding her in a playful twirl, "I feel so peaceful."
She chuckled, our gazes locked. "Me too."

Staring at her, everything else merged into the background. This was new to me, and I felt like I could get lost in those eyes forever. Something about the way she stared at me made me feel giddy too.
We have finished eating and are now relaxing, and we went from looking for movies to watch as a distraction to being dangerously close in minutes.
“You are so beautiful,” I found myself murmuring. I didn’t lie, but I didn’t expect myself to say that out loud.
“Kiss me?” She asked in a low voice, and I was shocked. The last thing I expected tonight was Evelyn demanding that I kiss her, and the idea excited me more than it should.
“Are you sure?” I asked, my voice dropping low, and she nodded.
“Let's end this night blissfully, fuck each other and get it out of the way. I heard it helps with focus,” she whispered, and I agreed.
“One time?” I asked, and she nodded
“Yeah, one time. Just tonight,” she whispered before placing her lips on mine in a sensual kiss.
In one smooth move, I lifted her off the ground, gently placing her on the bed. I shifted my body over hers, covering her fully, careful not to rest my weight on her.
"Do you want me to do this?" I asked in a low voice, feeling butterflies in my stomach. She nodded rapidly before I captured her lips in a slow, sensual kiss.
"Yes, Alexei, fuck it," she moaned. I flipped us around so she was laying on top of me, her legs straddling my lap. My hands snaked around her waist instantly, and I was back to kissing her like my life depended on it.
"Look at what you're doing to me," I murmured in her ear and nibbled on her earlobe, making her feel even hotter. My mouth left her earlobe and slid down to her neck again.
Slowly, I peeled off every piece of clothing she had on until she was bare, leaving just her panties on. My powerful thighs slid against her bare legs, crisp hairs tickling her sensitive skin. I ran my tongue over her rapid pulse, then sucked, slow and firm, at the curve of her neck, causing her to moan and arch into me.
