Ourfriendshipwas strong enough to survive anything, including this sexual uh-oh, but my heart wasn’t nearly so sturdy. I was not going to end up bitter and twisted because I’dlet myself become another notch on his bedpost. And I loved Will in a way that meant he could never be another one on mine, but it’s not like I could tell him that.

“I just think that when it comes to sex, we’re better off getting what we need from other people like we’ve always done.”

Will scowled as another driver cut in front of us. “Yeah. Right.”

“What?” I frowned at him. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing.” Will smiled, but it looked forced. “So, what happens now? Like you said, we can’t take it back, but it’s not like we had sex, either. The line wasn’t so much crossed as it was…”

“Redrawn?”

His smile softened into something more real. “Exactly.”

I mimed wiping sweat off my brow and gave him a relieved grin that he returned with amusement. “Phew. So, we call it a glitch, appreciate the fact that we’re both a little more relaxed now, and go back to the way things were?”

He shrugged. “I can if you can.”

“And you’ll never think about it again?”

He flashed his dimple and cocked one eyebrow. “Unlikely.”

I had to bite back a smile. Will wanted to jerk off with the image of me in his head? I didn’t hate the idea. I wouldn’t give back the picture of him fisting his cock in the shower for all the money in the world or the way it felt to do what he said, no questions asked. Just the memory of his voice, all bossy and husky with lust, made me press my thighs together.

But it wouldn’t happen again. It wasn’t too late to save whatever we’d put at risk. WhatI’dput at risk. Because, let’s face it, I’m the one who lost control first. I was the one who cracked. Will could put the moves on all he wanted, but I knew better than to fall for them.

“So, is now a good time to talk to you about my new yoga classes?” I asked.

“Shoot.”

Seb whimpered a little, and I twisted in my seat to return the toy to his hands before facing forwards again.

“It was easy to relocate my seniors’ yoga class,” I explained to Will. “There’s a space available at the community centre, and at first, I thought that was the answer to all my problems, but I can only get it for two sessions a week. It’s forced me to get creative.”

“Oh, yeah?”

“I’ve moved three of my morning classes to the park, which is fine as long as the weather holds, but when I sent out the invitation to my existing clients, I actually had some new enquiries, so I might keep doing that one even after the studio re-opens.”

“And when will that be again?”

I glanced out the window. Now was the time to tell him the truth, get the hell out of his loft, and put myself beyond the reach of temptation. I swallowed a snort. I was never going to leave a minute before I had to. I was a masochist.

“Still no firm date. I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be. You can stay with me as long as you need to.”

“Thank you.”

“You mentioned that you had an idea that involves Seb?”

“Right.” I shifted in my seat to read his face better. Nerves fluttered low in my stomach. “And before you say no, remember this would be a good solution for both of us because it means we can both work mornings.”

I really wanted Will to love my idea, and I’d be disappointed if the answer was no. I was excited about it, but I wasn’t sure if Will trusted me enough yet to take Seb out of the loft on my own.

Will smiled, but his brow creased with confusion. “I’m not following you.”

“Mother and baby yoga classes.”

His eyes flicked up to Seb’s reflection in the rear-view mirror, then to me, and back to the road. Hesitation flattened the line of his mouth, and my nervous flutter turned to dismay.
