“This is generational wealth. My family worked hard to build this company,” Montgomery said.

Da Han laughed. “Spare me, please. You haven't labored a day in your life. You don't know what it means to start from the bottom and work your way up. Oh, I'm not judging you. I haven't either. My Great Grandfather built my organization and every descendant makes sure it stays strong. Something both you and your father failed to do.” He cleared his throat and clapped his hands. “But let that be enough business talk. There is a wedding that needs to take place right now. I do have to get back to Chicago tonight.”

“You'll forgive me if I don't have a tux,” Monty said.

“I don't mind. I'd prefer you in that suit anyway,” Ren said with a wide grin.

“Fuck,” Montgomery cursed under his breath.

This was not how he saw his night ending.

Chapter eleven

Ren

Ren's heart was hammeringinside his chest like it was fighting to break free. Finally, the baddest, sexiest, and most sought-after Dom in all of Scarlet Letter was about to be his. All his. He could hardly contain the glee he felt and knew that he was grinning like a fool as he watched the man sign the documents that sealed the deal. Then, he watched as the Dom known as Master Ellis rose from his chair and adjusted his suit.

God, he looks so fucking good,Ren thought. He wanted Master Ellis to fuck him while still dressed in his best. But even more, he wanted Montgomery to wear one of those sexy corset vests he wore to the club when he was in a particular mood. The ones that hugged every masculine curve of his gorgeous body. If they were at Montgomery's home, he would have insisted on it, but they were at Montgomery's family home. He doubted the man's nighttime attire was there. He’d settle for the shirt, jacket, and pants combo the man was currently wearing.

His older brother made a quick call to one of their security team members and a few minutes later, a minister was brought in. Everything had been arranged for their marriage the momenthe'd gotten off the phone with his father. Even Ren was amazed by how quickly his father had managed to get matters in order. Money and power were great motivators and, if that failed, threatening people who refused you was always a great alternative.

All he had to do was go shopping for the slick, stylish red suit with black shoes and shirt he was wearing. And he knew he looked so damn good in it. They were all escorted by his dad's guards to the backyard where a few flower stands had been arranged to represent the altar. All of this had been done by the security while they were inside conducting business.

“Jesus,” Howard said as he took in how his backyard had been decorated.

Tea lights on petals were floating in the pool and other taller candles lined the area where the two grooms would be standing.

“This is so beautiful, thank you, mommy and daddy,” Ren said as he gushed over the decor.

Mèng Yáo walked over to her son and gave him a kiss on his cheek. “Anything for my baby boy.”

Li and his twin, Xiù, rolled their eyes but remained silent. Mèng Yáo was their stepmother and it annoyed them both how much she doted on her only son with Da Han. But she loved their dad and never mistreated them, so they didn't harbor any ill will toward her. They just wished Ren wasn't so spoiled.

Ren stood in front of the minister and Montgomery joined him. “I can't wait until we're married,” he told Monty.

“You do realize that this is preposterous?” Monty asked him.

Ren shook his head. “Nope. We're doing the right thing, you'll see.”

“Please, Ren, I don't want to marry you,” Monty said, giving his last-minute plea.

Ren scoffed. “I'm not leaving here single. How about that?”

Montgomery huffed as he threw his head back in exasperation. “This isn't how you win me over.”

“This is how I get the man I want.” Ren looked at the minister, who seemed confused as to what to say or do under the circumstances. “Well? Start the fucking ceremony. What the hell are you waiting on?”

Da Han chuckled and shook his head.

The minister nervously cleared his throat, and then began.

“Is there anyone here who believes that these two should not be married, please speak now or forever hold your peace,” the minister asked.

Both grooms looked at those attending, and Ren saw his father standing there, proud and also in full command of the moment. No one would be dumb enough to object. Not if they didn't want to suffer the consequences of their foolish choice to try to ruin the wedding.

The silence was deafening.

“I—I see,” the minister stammered a little before continuing the ceremony.
