“We have another location down in Montana. They’ll want to come out for it. We used to have these huge get-togethers back when I lived there. They were amazing! You’ll love it! Some of the guys from the club might come too.”

“The club?”

“Yeah. Surely I told you about the Wolfsbane motorcycle club?”

“Nope. Not a single word.” I shake my head.

“Fiona, the woman I told you about that started the Poison Pen franchise, she’s related to the guys in the MC. They’re really nice. They took me in as a sister when I started working for her. So, they are my brothers.” She shrugs.

“Isn’t Mika’s boyfriend related to one of the clubs here? I figured all clubs were against each other.”

“Not at all. Well... some are but these two clubs are friends. Anyway, I made some flyers I’d like for you to go around to all the businesses to pass them out.”

She hands me a large stack of papers with a large heading at the top that says, First Annual Poison Pen Alaska Feast.

“I thought this was a company picnic?”

“It is. Kind of. Back in Montana, the whole community was always invited. I figured this would help to get our brand out there more. Maybe pull in some new clients.”

Nodding my head, I sigh deeply, knowing there will be no way to get out of having to be there.

I’ve wanted to keep a low profile but being out in the open like this picnic will be, is not that.

A few hours later, my feet are killing me on top of not having much sleep last night then my workout this morning during class. At least I’m almost out of flyers.

Looking up at the gym in front of me, I’m guessing that Arin would be extremely mad at me if I didn’t make sure that Jake got an invitation.

While I dread seeing him again for the second time today, I’m also excited to see him again.

The man is just so fucking hot it should be a crime. I know that I don’t need to start up anything with a man right now with the way my life is currently but my body seems to scream at me to let him hold me against a wall and fuck my brains out.

“Hey.” I jump, brought back to reality by the voice of the very man I was just fantasizing about.

“Hi.” I smile awkwardly as I feel my face flush.

“I’m just closing up. Did you forget something this morning?” He grins wider and I’m afraid he just read my mind.

“Uh...No. Arin has me passing out all these flyers for a cookout she’s giving next weekend. Apparently, she’s inviting all the business owners.” I shove one towards him.

“Sounds like fun.” His eyes jump back to mine. “You gonna be there?”

His question surprises me.

“Yep. I doubt she’d let me skip it.”

He chuckles. “Knowing her, probably not. Guess I’ll see you there then.”

That smile of his zips through my body causing an ache right in the center.

“Okay. See you later.” I turn, walking away and do my best to not turn back around to see if he’s watching me.

I need a long bath and some time with my battery operated friend that’s in my bedside table. This feeling he gives me needs to go the fuck away.
