“I’ll let you read it later. Now, sleep. I’m tired, woman.” He growls the last bit, lightly popping me on the bare ass,

I get just as still and quiet as he is, my mind still racing with everything, including the fact that he’s not running from me.

Smiling happily, I snuggle close to him and fall asleep.

Chapter 10

Snake

It’s been several weekssince I found out about the twins being mine.

Andi and I’ve talked about it a lot and we’ve decided to wait a few years before we tell the girls the truth. There’s no need to diminish the memories they have of Hank.

I’m still extremely pissed that he could do what he did. I understand why Andi went along with it.

She honestly had no way of finding out where I was. Hank pretended for a while that he was actively looking but couldn’t find me.

The truth was that he did find me but made the choice for everyone.

Plus, he admitted in his letter that the girls were already growing and by that point, he was most likely so attached he couldn’t let them go.

I’m hoping that one day, I can forgive him for the time I lost with the girls. There’s so much that I still don’t know about them and that’s what hurts the most.

However, I am glad that Hank was able to be happy in his life, even if it was for a little while.

I always knew back in school that he had a hard time. I just didn’t know that he held everything against me like I was his enemy.

In my heart, I still see him as a brother and despite what he’s done, that will always be the case.

That’s why I’m currently standing outside the back shed at the clubhouse taking a break from what has been going on inside.

Skeeter came through on his promise to deliver a certain asshole directly to my door once they didn’t need him any more.

Hearing the back door to the club open then shut, I catch sight of Ringo heading my way. He’s one of the quieter brothers in the club.

Other than club members, he rarely ever speaks.
