“You know, this really feels like a conversation you should probably be having with your husband.”

“You have no fucking shame! How are you okay whoring around with people’s husbands? How?”

I take a deep breath, stopping myself from going off, but I honestly don’t really care at this point. Guaranteed Gary will be calling back regardless.

“Look lady, he may be fucking you, but every time he’s alone with his hand down his pants wrapped around his cock, it’ll be my name on his lips.”

I wait for her gasp before ending the call. I lean back against my pillow with the most satisfied grin on my face. I’m almost excited for my next call now. I’m rejuvenated.

So much so that I don’t even hesitate answering when I see Mack is calling in again. It’s almost become a nightly routine at this point.

“Carver,” I answer dryly even though I’m desperate to tell him about the call I just had. He would eat that shit up.

“You know,” he starts out strong with heavy attitude, switching it up from his usual pleas to talk. “You ignoring me is really starting to wear on me.”

“Stop being so dramatic.”

“I don’t know. I think I might need to unload some of this. I probably am going to have to talk to my best friend about it. You know, for support.”

I narrow my eyes, lowering my voice. “You wouldn’t fucking dare.”

He doesn’t back down. “Try me.”

“Fine.”

“Fine?”

“Yeah, I mean when my brother asks about it, I’ll just have to tell him everything, including how I know the sound you make when you have hot cum shooting out of your coc-”

“Thea! Christ!”

“What?” I ask, egging him on.

He’s silent for a moment. “Dammit,” he mumbles.

Click.

Wait, what? I pull my phone from my face to double check that the line actually went dead. That fucker just hung up on me.

Chapter 19

Friday

Mack

“Why did you invite that fucker?” I ask almost under my breath, but Derek still hears me.

He glances over at Thea walking in with her hands wrapped around John’s arm. “John?” He looks back at me. “I mean, I didn’t. I invited Thea, but since when do we not like him?”

I tense my jaw, stopping myself from saying something I shouldn’t. “You only invited Thea to give the appearance that you could actually get women to come to your birthday party.”

“Fuck you!” he laughs. “I was going to offer to kick him out, but now I’m thinking maybe I should just make you leave.”

I roll my eyes with a laugh. “Yeah, okay. At least you didn’t order a girl bursting out of a birthday cake or something.” I pause, narrowing my eyes at him. “Oh God, you didn’t order a girl bursting out of a cake, did you?”

“No. But now that you mention it, that would’ve been awesome.”

“I wasn’t trying to give you ideas, asshat.”
