“I don’t want to date Hannah and her friends. But if you want a true red flag, I have a Batman collection. A big one. There is a life-size Batman statue from the Tim Burton film in my house. My dog, she’s named after Poison Ivy. Pamela Isley.”

“My friend Keira would love that piece of information. Also that is a big green flag. Batman is not my thing, but I love a passionate nerd.”

“So, what do we do? How does this go in an optimist’s best case scenario?” Olin asked.

“Oh, you’re secretly the world’s greatest Top. You take this dress off of me, so it doesn’t get ruined?—”

“I’ll pay for the dress,” Olin said. “We can ruin it.”

“See, don’t say stuff like that. That’ll feed into my delusions.”

“Sorry. You were saying?”

“We’d negotiate what to do with the dress and then we would spend all night just destroying that bed, and this couch, and then the shower, and then we’d order pizza because the food was just okay.”

“The food sucked. You can say it. The food always sucks at these things.”

“It did suck. After the pizza, a quick nap. Then we’d see how sturdy the rest of the furniture in this suite is. In the morning, we’d sleep in, shower, wardrobe change and brunch. Then we’d go back to my place and things would finally get interesting.”

“Well, I’m not the world’s greatest Top, but the rest of it seems doable,” Olin said and he meant it. He hadn’t had sex in a while, but he didn’t forget how it worked. He looked at her face as she seemingly thought it over.

“Olin, I’ll be honest. The stuff that comes onMonday, after brunch and all the sex. It’s a lot. I’ve done things that you might not be okay with. Stuff that I hope to do again. And there are things I want done to me and I need someone who is strong enough to be on board with it. Someone to understand that this isn’t a space for jealousy. I’m not calling you ‘weak’. I just?—”

“Tell me one of those things you think will scare me away.”

“Okay,” she let out a sigh. “My friend Keira I mentioned? Sometimes I do roleplay and bondage stuff with her and her husband. Her husband has topped me a lot and he topped me for years before they met. He and I had the same Mistress. I’ve fucked his wife a lot, too, and our friendship is great. I respect their marriage and I have an open invite into their bed. They own the club I mentioned.”

Olin was trying to ignore the way his cock stirred in his pants at the thought of Meegan being free with herself that way. “So you’ve had sex with multiple people at once.”

“Yes. And I like being a submissive a lot. It helps me decompress and it makes me happy. I’ve also recorded myself a lot. The footage is very secure and only shared with people I trust, but there are hours of it with me and various people. I like being watched.”

“It sounds like you understand yourself sexually and don’t want to interrupt that. I don’t see the issue.”

“So, if I told you that next weekend, I want you to meet Keira and Daniel or my friend Marcos and his partner TK, you’d be fine with that? I’m not trying to intimidate you, but it’s something I will want at some point. Some men like all the fun and games, but then they get jealous or they think it’s a one time thing and they don’t want to take me to brunch anymore.”

Olin thought for a second. He couldn’t picture a scenario where he wouldn’t want to take her to brunch. “There’s a negotiation element to BDSM.” Meegan looked shocked, but she nodded.

“Would you be willing to give me time to learn and then negotiate the terms for what I want? And in the meantime, you can tell me more about what you like? I’m guessing you didn’t learn everything you know and love about BDSM overnight.”

“You’ve… got me there.”

“I propose a new deal,” Olin suggested. “You still pretend to be my girlfriend for the next six months and I learn how to be your boyfriend. The adventurous sex and all.”

“We have to do one thing first,” Meegan replied. She stood from the couch and pulled him out of his seat. Then she kissed him.

All Meegan had meant to do was give Olin a simple kiss on the mouth. You can tell so much about someone from a simple kiss. She didn’t expect his lips to be so soft or that he would pull her close with a firm hand around her waist. She’d wanted to be disappointed. She needed it. Kissing was so important to her. All things done with the mouth, really. She needed Olin to be bad at it all so she could stick to the original plan. Six months of doing things the very fake way and then part as friends who have not tried to get in each other’s pants.

But then her lips parted and Olin tilted his head just so, brushing his soft tongue against hers. Meegan deepened the kiss and Olin’s other hand gripped her hip. She didn’t know what to make of him. Stoic and refreshingly honest, and by his own admission, inexperienced and out of practice. If this was how he kissed, Meegan would be in real trouble the moment she found herself under him. She forced herself to break the kiss and stepped back just enough to get a hazy glimpse of his bow tie. Yeah, that did not go as planned.

Meegan was a smart woman and proud of what she’d accomplished in life, but she still didn’t trust her own judgment when it came to her heart. She’d had a genuinely nice time with Olin and she did like him. He looked so damn good in that suit, but he’d completely caught her off guard. Until five minutes ago she thought he was set on staying single. There was no way this wouldn’t go wrong and none of those doubts changed the fact that she wanted him to stay the night. She wanted to be held, if only for a little while.

“What are you thinking?” he asked, his voice rough.

“Oh, just how screwed I am.” Meegan glanced up at his lips and wanted to kiss him again, but she stopped herself. Olin’s hands were still on her.

“Why do you think I’d screw you over?”
