When she smiled, it was like sunlight emerging at the end of a thunderstorm. In that moment, he would’ve promised her the world if it would keep her smiling.

“I know I shouldn’t listen to anything she says,” Olivia said, her voice hoarse after so much crying. “And I don’t usually let mean girl bullshit affect me. It’s just...” She seemed unable to go on, as if her throat had closed up.

“You alluded to some things in your application.” Aiden spoke slowly, picking his words with care. “About your childhood. Is that what this is about?”

She tried to speak, failed, and shrugged instead, gaze firmly planted on his chest.

“You don’t have to talk about it if you’re not ready,” Aiden said, giving her forehead a soft kiss. “In fact, you don’t have to talk about it at all if that’s what you want. Though I do think it might help.” It had felt like a hundred-pound weight lifting off his chest when he’d confided in Olivia the night before.

It took her a few tries, but she finally managed to get out, “Later. Maybe. If I can...” She sighed.“Maybe.”

“Zero pressure,” he assured her, gently guiding her head down to rest against his chest again. “This week is all about you, and what you need, remember? Promise me you won’t forget it.”

She relaxed against him so completely, it made his heart skip a beat. “I won’t.”

CHAPTER10

Olivia

Aiden was reticent to let Olivia leave their room again after the whole fiasco in the study. As Chef Gabriel was happy to have his delectable meals delivered to their room, they didn’tneedto venture out. Particularly since the dresser was literally filled with sex toys, bondage gear, and spanking paraphernalia. If Aiden had made it his personal mission to ensure Olivia got experience with every single one of them, with baths and full-body massages and other heavenly aftercare in between...well, she wasn’t going to complain.

At least not at first. After over twenty-four hours secluded in their suite, however, Olivia had a serious case of cabin fever.

So what if that asshole was out there somewhere, roaming the halls? Was she going to let that rob her of getting the absolute most out of her stay? There weredozensof things she still wanted to try in the dungeon, though Aiden would never agree to that as their first little field trip. Better to start with something small and innocent, like the pool.

Olivia had spent the last hour convincing Aiden to go. It had involved a lot of begging, mostly on her knees, and not always with words. At last, he had relented, and she was almost giddy as they stepped through the ornate French doors at the back of the house.

They crossed the flagstone patio to a lovely, sprawling flower garden with perfectly pruned square hedges. Olivia couldn’t help glancing at a wrought iron bench in a little alcove to their left as they passed. A blush heated her cheeks as she remembered Aiden bending her over the side and fucking her ass on the way back from their hike, as a gardener worked nearby. Surreptitiously, she ran a finger across the long bruise on her pelvis, from where he’d slammed her into the iron armrest over and over.

Olivia shivered in the most delicious way. How was this her life? Her first four days at the Manor had been more glorious than she ever could’ve dreamed. If only she’d built up the nerve sooner.

And if only she wasn’t terrified of losing her nerve again the moment she left Manor grounds.

Sliding his arm around her shoulders, Aiden leaned down to whisper in her ear. “I see you staring at that bench, little girl. Are you looking for a repeat performance?”

She grinned up at him. “Just remembering. Though I am, of course, yours to command.”

“Mmm,” Aiden said, moving his hand down to squeeze her sore bottom. “Good answer.”

He didn’t steer them off the main path, though. Instead, he slipped his hand beneath her skimpy bikini bottoms and led them straight toward the soft sounds of splashing and voices, fondling her the whole way. It didn’t help matters that he wore nothing but swim trunks, his chiseled abs on glorious display. Olivia was about ready to drag him off the path and jump on him by the time they reached the pool gate.

And he was definitely smirking, the jerk. He knew exactly what he was doing to her.

“Here we are,” Aiden said as he opened the gate for her, sounding completely unaffected. He finally let go of her ass as she passed through, giving it a firm swat on her way by.

The other four people occupying the pool looked up when she yelped in surprise, making her blush all over again. Not exactly the cool, sexy entrance she would’ve preferred.

“I was wondering if we’d ever meet properly,” said one of the men—the tall, lean one she’d seen on her first night. His gaze flicked over to Aiden. “I haven’t seen either of you since the other night in the dungeon. Where have you been keeping her hidden?”

“We’ve been occupied.” Aiden gave the two girls in the pool a flirty wink. “I’m sure you ladies understand.” The two women looked at each other, then erupted into delighted giggles.

For one, fleeting moment, Olivia wondered if she should be jealous. Aiden had always been cold—even downright hostile—toward that Stacey woman. She’d sort of expected him to treat all the other female guests the same way. But looking at the gorgeous women in the pool, she found herself imagining Aiden deep in a scene with the pair of them instead.

She resisted the urge to squeeze her thighs together as Aiden wrapped his arm around her again, tugging her up against his side. “This,” he said, kissing the top of her head, “is Olivia. She’s new to the scene, but might very well be the most naturally submissive person I’ve ever met. I haven’t been able to keep my hands off her for days.”

Olivia melted against him, basking in his words like they were sunshine.

“I’m glad to hear she lives up to all your hype,” the second Dom in the pool said, then turned his boyish grin on Olivia. “Zach tells me he’s been carrying around your application since January, pining over his perfect sub.”
