“Just let me focus on you tonight.” Her eyes widened, and she smiled.

I could die in that smile. I was so intoxicated by her. I felt a tingling sensation roll through me just from the gratification that exuded from her. Her scent was an aphrodisiac for me. I was high off her smell, and, yes, of course, I wanted to be inside her. But more than that, I wanted to make her say my name again while I savored the sweetness of her.

“That doesn’t seem fair,” she pouted, still slightly breathless.

“Well, now, if there’s one lesson I’ve learned, it’s that life’s not always fair, is it?”

She shook her head, a hint of sadness coming into her eyes. “No, it isn’t.”

I touched her face. “Baby, smile. I’ve got you. Right here, with me.”

The sadness disappeared as I moved down between her breasts, kissed each hard nipple, then lifted her legs over my shoulders as I lowered back down. “I can’t get enough of you,” I whispered against her hot flesh.

Taking my time, I brought her to another series of orgasms, and after the fourth one, her legs shaking convulsively around my head, she begged me to stop, told me she couldn’t take any more.

“Oh my god, Michael,” she whispered, and I couldn’t stop myself from smiling in between her legs. There it was again. My name on her lips.

I slid up, licked her belly, nipped at the soft smoothness of the side of her breast, then kissed her neck. She was limp and almost lifeless beneath me.

I moved to her side and leaned on my elbow.

She turned her head to face me, and in the dim light from the other room, I saw her smile. “That is one incredible mouth you’ve got, mister.”

I chuckled, then kissed her again. She teased my lips with her tongue ever so lightly.

“I knew I enjoyed looking at that mouth. But damn,” she hummed, touching my lips with her velvety fingertips. “That was amazing.”

“The pleasure was all mine, Ms. Moretti.”

She sighed, absentmindedly content.

I kissed her again softly. “We have a bit of a drive tomorrow. And we’re meeting with Jax.” I kissed the side of her head, the sweet, tender part of her temple.

“I know.” She sounded relaxed and sleepy.

“Better get some rest.”

She put her lips to my chest, kissed me on my heart. “Okay.”

“Sleep well, baby,” I whispered.

She nestled closer and closed her eyes.

I knew I should go back to my room, but lying here felt right with her in my arms. I decided I’d stay until I knew she was sound asleep. Then I’d go back to my own bed. I was playing with fire staying here and her words about “keeping things casual and friendly” repeated through my head. Still, I couldn’t bring myself to leave.

I played with her silky tendrils, drawing them through my fingers while mentally reviewing my notes for tomorrow. It’d take a couple of hours to get to Jax’s. We’d stop for lunch on our way. Get there, settle in, and go over her presentation and her sales pitch. I knew she’d be able to sell him on Moretti’s—their reputation spoke for itself. I couldn’t wait to hear Siena talk about the wines again. She had a certain flair, and listening to her talk about things she loved made me itch to touch her and get her alone. There was just something about watching her—her voice, how she spoke, how she smiled and seemed to come alive—it was such a turn on.

My eyes sagged with fatigue. Siena was breathing deeply, her head nestled into me, my arm tucked beneath her. Moving would surely wake her. My eyes strained as I tried to stay awake. I’d wait until she turned over, then leave. Her soft breathing settled me, my eyes fluttered closed, and a quiet hum from her was the last sound I heard before I fell fast asleep.

What the hellwas wrong with me?

I slept. In her bed. All night.

Fuck me.

Why didn’t I go back to my own room?
