As David Silva scores that final, breathtaking goal, the eruption of cheers in Santiago Bernabeu is nothing short of euphoric. I turn to Cristina, both of us caught up in the moment.

"Did you see that?! David Silva just sealed the deal!" I shout over the deafening roars of the crowd.

My cousin, her eyes wide with exhilaration, replies, "I can't believe it! What a way to finish the game!"

The entire stadium is alive with so much energy. Fans are hugging, jumping, and some are even shedding tears of joy. The air is filled with the scent of victory, a heady mix of sweat and adrenaline.

The VIP box is no exception to the celebration. There are clinking glasses, exchanging high fives, and reveling in the glory of the decisive goal. Even from a distance, their smiles are infectious.

Down on the field, David Silva is engulfed by his teammates, the unity among them evident. The stadium's massive screens capture their faces as they revel in the victory.

The crowd continue to chant and sing in unison. The atmosphere is so charged it feels like the stadium itself is pulsating with joy. The cheers echo off the walls.

As the players take a lap around the field, lifting the trophy, the emotions are overwhelming. I turn to Cristina, a wide smile on my face. "This is an experience I'll never forget," I say, my voice filled with excitement.

She nods, "Absolutely. We witnessed history tonight."

I watch as both Lucas and Diego hug each other, and then Diego rushes to me, while Lucas to Cristina, and he spins me around.

“I can’t believe Real Madrid won.”

Diego shakes his head. “Why would you even doubt them? They are the damn kings of football.”

I sigh. “You shouldn’t be so full of it. Look at the poor Atletico fans. They look so sad.”

Lucas chimes, “They should be used to it all!”

Cristina shakes her head. “No. I remember only four years ago we beat you guys.”

Diego drops me as if I’m a led balloon, and Lucas does the same with Cristina.

“You mean you’re a …” Lucas says as he holds his mouth as if he’s unable to say the words, then Cristina takes off her Real Madrid T-shirt to reveal that underneath it, she’s wearing an Atletico Madrid bra.

One man near us gasps, and a woman uses her hand to cover her husband’s eyes which are nearly popping out of his head. Diego smiles, so I do the same with him, and Lucas just can’t say a word.

“Yes, people, I am an Atletico fan.”

“What are you doing in this box?” the woman asks. “You know you shouldn’t be here.”

I run to the defense of Cristina. “There’s nothing to say that she can’t be any place that she wants. It’s human rights.”

“But this is football!” Diego says. “Humanity goes out of the window when it comes to football.”

The billionaire.

The man I’m in love with.

When he talks about football, it’s as if it’s the most important thing in the world.
