Eli’s smirk falls and he sighs again. “I’m cool with having her anyway she wants me. But if it weren’t you or Asher, I would only worry about them fucking hurting her. She doesn’t deserve any more of that shit.”

I hate when the bastard is right.

“Stop watching so many chick flicks and go help Asher get control of the music.”

CHAPTER THIRTY SEVEN

KATE

I pout as Asher switches the music back and he helps me and Bianca down off the bar.

“Babe,” he sighs, shaking his head, but I can see the smile on his lips. “You’re killing me.”

I grin but before I can say anything his lips brush mine and he turns back to cleaning the bar from all the shoes on it.

“Girl!” Bianca hisses in my ear pulling me closer to her. “Did Asher just kiss you!”

“You suck at whispering,” I chuckle as guys at a table glance at us.

“Fuck whispering. Tell me everything.”

I pull my nail into my mouth trying to find a way to even explain what is happening with my suddenly active sex life. “It’s hard to explain,” I hesitate and jump as a hand pulls my nail from my mouth.

“Maybe next time you dance on the bar, we'll get you some panties alright?” Eli whispers in my ear and my cheeks flush.

He chuckles and winks at me before walking away and I groan knowing that Bianca is staring at me. I turn to her and my suspicion is confirmed as her mouth hangs open. “Katelyn Elizabeth!” She laughs. “You naughty, naughty girl!”

“So,” I fumble for words and desperate for a topic change. “What major should I choose for school?”

“Oh no,” she laughs. “This conversation isn’t over.”

“We need to talk.”

I turn to find an angry Ax staring down at me. Before I can spit back a rude comment he subtly shakes his head.

“It’s important.”

I frown, apologizing to Bianca, and following Ax back towards the bathrooms down the hall. He pulls me into a small office and shuts the door to quiet the sounds of the music and chatter.

“Give me your phone.”

I eye him curiously and hand it over to him, only to have him turn and drop it into a pitcher of beer.

“What the hell is your problem!”

I shove him and try to get the phone out, wondering if putting it in rice may save it but knowing it’s probably a lost cause. Ax grabs hold of my wrists, stopping me.

“Someone’s been tracking your GPS.”

I frown at him. “And by someone you mean…”

“Whoever thinks you are theirs to collect.”

My stomach twists. “I’m not property to claim.”

“Tell that to them,” he shrugs. “You’ll have to do without for a bit until we can get Cole to put some software on it to scramble your GPS. Bianca can contact me if she wants to talk to you.”

I roll my eyes and he smirks.
