With our fingers intertwined and my eyes still on her, I brought her hand up to my lips, kissing her knuckles. She finally looked over to me, the glow in her happiness still radiant.

“For me?” she whispered.

“For you,” I answered, my lips still pressed to her hand.

Letting me go, Celeste approached the side of the pool. She kneeled down, letting her knees rest along the edge of the stone, and reached her hand to the water. The tips of her fingers barely broke the surface as she waved through the water, ripples forming in their wake. I watched as my grey shirt hung loosely off her shoulders, blanketing her silhouette, and I could feel the heat rise in myself once again.

The way her hair fell so gently along the side of her face, the way her head tilted at her own reflection in the water, the way the corner of her mouth lifted in a grin.

I’m in so fucking deep.

“No one has access to this room except for you.”

She looked back. “Only me?”

I nodded.

“Not Ace? Or Mel?”

“No.”

“Not the ghosts?”

“The ghosts are only allowed on the paths and in their own mausoleums. Nowhere else.”

She paused, digesting my words and filling in the empty spaces between them. “That’s one of the… conditions?”

I nodded again.

“What about you?” she asked, rising to her feet and stepping toward me. “Do you have access to this room?”

I cleared my throat as she neared me, trying to keep my shit together. “Only if you want me to.”

Once she finally reached me, her hand slid up to the side of my neck, her touch warm against me. She stood on her tiptoes, eager to meet me as she brushed her lips against mine. Without kissing me, she dangled the lust in front of me, toying with me.

It took all of my might, all of my self-control, to not grab her and crash into her.

“Caius Attila,” she began, the pronunciation of my name forcing her tongue to slip past her own lips and lightly touch mine.Holy fuck,if I didn’t lose it right then and there at the sound of my full name. “You have twenty-four-seven access to this room.”

That did it for me. I grabbed the back of her neck, kissed her, and took her.

Caius

Celeste put on her jacket as we reached the door, then picked up the carnation from the door handle. After I zipped my own jacket, we both pulled up our hoods and walked outside.

The rain was at a steady downfall, as always, but in this moment, it was refreshing. My skin was still heated and slick with sweat, my muscles were tired from our compromising positions, but my dick was more than ready for round three. And if she tries to say my name with the strike of her tongue again, I won’t hesitate to make it happen.

There was something about the way it fell off her lips, the way the syllables were coated with a silk-sounding tone, the way her voice smoothed the inside walls of my chest.

There was no way to explain it, and I had no desire to try to find the words for it.

We made it a few steps before Celeste stopped. I paused with her, confusion striking my face.

“What?” I asked, my gaze landing on the leftover blood rush to her cheeks.

“Are they here?”

“Who?”
