I caressed over his flushed cheekbones, lost in a pool of blue, a vast ocean of gentle waves and peaceful depths. A shiver slid down my spine at how beautifully he knelt before me, how much I appreciated his submission. “Sean…”

“Yeah, Teach?” he rasped as though I’d abused his vocal cords.

Teach. Professor…

Reality jolted clear through my brain, slammed against my chest, and stole my breath.

I released my hold on Sean’s head too quickly—harshly—and he tumbled onto his ass, hands hitting the hardwood floor to keep himself from falling onto his back.

We stared at each other as coolness from the air-conditioning humming in the background caressed over my wet cock dangling between my thighs. The scent of lust and cum lingered—poisoned—the air. Panted breaths escaped me from fucking my student’s willing throat.

Guilt doused over me like a waterfall, blinding everything—drenching me with unease and the instinct to escape him.

“Y-You have to leave.” With suddenly shaking hands, I yanked up my pants, as desperate to right myself as I’d been to shove my cock past his lips. I swallowed hard against the stirring in my guts threatening to erupt up my throat.

Sean slowly pushed to his feet. Hands fisted at his sides, he disobeyed my order. A violent energy rippled between us, a mixture of lust and anger, but I didn’t know where either feeling spawned.

“Matteo—”

“No!” I clenched my jaw and lifted my focus to his face even though I feared the outcome of seeing the effects of what we’d done in his eyes.

Those beautiful orbs still shone bright with lust, but hurt radiated from a deeper level.

I bit back a whimper over the insistent desire inside me to pull him against my chest and erase the pain I’d inflicted on him.

“We can’t do this,” I managed to croak through the panic swilling in my core and mind. “It isn’t right.”

“Nothing has ever made as much sense as you do,” he argued. “I don’t know what it is or why I’m drawn to you, but I can’t stop it. Can’t fucking fight it. I need you, Matteo.” Sean stepped closer, but I lifted a shaking hand, halting him as he made contact with me.

The heat of his chest, the hard thumps against my palm gave me a sense I held his heart in my hand.

My eyes stung as he studied my face as though searching for the truth of what I longed for compared to what I’d stated.

He would find me wanting. Desperate for more of him—his taste on my tongue, his touch on my skin.

I licked over my lower lip before swallowing against shards of glass cutting at my throat. “Please, Sean. What we did goes against school policy. I could lose my job.” My stomach cramped at the thought.

Still, he stared, unmoving, a willful soul who fought my reasoning.

But I’d caught wind of his other needs while handing him the test he’d surprised me by passing with ease when I’d expected him to fail.

“Be a good boy for me like you were in studying for that grade, Sean,” I whispered, hating myself for manipulating but having no other choice. “Make me proud again.”

He melted, his eyes going soft exactly as I’d expected.

Guilt shot through me. I wanted to reach into his chest, inside his mind, and lavish everything he craved on his insecure soul but refrained.

“Be my good boy,” I reiterated, not intending to be possessive, but the rasped word sounded so damned right on my tongue.

An image flashed in my head of Sean kneeling at my feet while I sat after a long day at work. His cheek rested on my knee, a smile of contentment on his face.

Katie had been that for me—not a too-young man with more than enough willful sass to share.

The comparison hit like an earthquake, shaking the foundation of my entire being. Not only was he off-limits to me as a student, but Katie owned my heart.

“You really want me to go, Teach?” Sean murmured, his steady gaze still searching my soul as I fought through conflicting emotions.

“Please,” I whispered, not sure what I begged for. My fingers itched to curl into his shirt and pull him against me again while my better sense and guilt for being disloyal to the memory of my wife pushed him toward the door.
