Page 9 of Latte Be Desired

I brace my free hand on the bathroom tiles, letting the water spray over me as I work my dick.

“Fuck,” I groan out. I’m so close it’s insane.

I picture February before me, her hands on my thighs as she takes my cock in her mouth. Her eyes gazing back at me. I’d stroke her cheek. Tell her how goddamn beautiful she looks sucking me off.

My body explodes with an energy that makes me feel more alive than I’ve felt in a long time. I come, stroking my dick over and over as I whisper her name into the quietness of my shower.

As my breathing returns to normal, I remind myself that my focus needs to be on this latte and nothing else. I need to win thiscontest and prove to myself that the decision to move back was the right one.

I get out of the shower and quickly get dressed in black jeans and a black tee. No need to make myself coffee when I’ve got a shop, so I grab my keys and wallet and rush out the door.

Today I’m going to figure out the perfect latte and crush my beautiful competition.

“Bren and Tony, come here, please,” I say, walking behind the counter at Mug Life. Since the shop is empty, they follow me to the back area, and watch as I pull a few mugs down, lining them up on the counter. I lift my gaze, and a smile slowly spreads across my face. “Petra is doing a latte competition for theMagnolia Gazette. It’s Mug Life vs Deja Brew. Best latte wins and I’ll be damned if we don’t win. So, I need your help to go over some exciting new flavors that will crush the competition and put us on top.”

“That’s cool, boss. What’s the prize?” Tony asks, pushing his hair out of his eyes.

He’s a great kid, with a short attention span, but respectful. His clothes are a little baggy and his brown hair hangs in his face so often I’m not even sure he can see most of the time. Apparently, there’s something about him though, because a lot of young girls come in just to have his attention for a few minutes.

Bren is closer to my age. She’s a single mom and works tirelessly trying to get as many tips as possible to support her and her little girl. A lot of the time she mothers Tony with her hand on her hipand her blonde ponytail bouncing.

I feel like I have two of the best employees, and getting their input for this latte is invaluable.

“An entire article in the paper, which would be great for business.”

“That’s really awesome.” See, the kid gets it.

“The owner of Deja Brew is the woman who was in here the other day, right?” Bren questions.

I nod. “Yep, that’s her. February Frost.”

“Oh, hey, I know that chick. My friend Sean sometimes goes there and purposely knocks over a drink to watch her bend over,” Tony declares with a cheesy grin.

A jealousy I shouldn’t feel burns deep under my skin as my eyes pin him with an intense stare. “Maybe you should tell Sean to keep his eyes to himself.” I scrub my face, letting out a sigh. “And you should remind him that you work here and your paycheck depends on customers being here at Mug Life.”

What the hell is wrong with me? I’m not a jealous person and there’s nothing to be jealous of. Frost is my rival. I shouldn’t need to keep reminding myself of that.

If some guy wants to watch her bend over, that’s fine. It’s the business I’m losing that annoys me most. Yeah, that’s what it is.

“Sorry, boss.”

“Don’t apologize. Let’s just get working on some ideas.”

The bell rings, alerting us a customer has walked in, and Bren looks behind her. “I should go help them.”

“Yes, Tony and I’ve got this. You focus on the customers.”

She leaves and Tony grins down at his phone. My mind blanks as I stare at the mugs. I need something new, something different and exciting. It has to be something that Frosted Foam would never even consider.

“What about a ginger root latte?” I suggest.

“Sure, boss. That sounds good.”

I busy myself, putting a few things together to see how it would actually taste. I glance up at Tony and he’s punching away on his phone with a smirk on his face.

“You wanna go grab me some milk out of the fridge?”

“Sure thing.”
