“That would be great. Then we could be neighbors.”

Luna’s grandmother smiled the brightest Adrian had ever seen her smile. “I’m sure I could work something out with our alpha,” she replied.

As they saw her out, Adrian noticed the moon was high in the sky. They agreed to stay in touch, and within the week, they would reunite for dinner so they could discuss the union of their packs.

Adrian stretched and yawned widely once they were back inside, alone once again.

“Well, time for bed, I suppose,” Luna said as she yawned just as emphatically.

But Adrian had other ideas. “Oh, no, you don’t,” Adrian said, a mischievous grin on his face.

“But it’s late. Whatever you’re planning, it can wait for morning.”

Adrian scooped her up into his arms with little difficulty.

“You and I are mates now, yeah? And we’ve yet to consummate our bond.”

Luna laughed as he carried her across the threshold, taking her into the bathroom.

There, they stripped, one piece of clothing at a time. Adrian admired Luna’s every curve, rubbing his fingers gently over the spots where she had been scratched and pierced.

Her breasts were silky in his hands, her mouth soft like velvet.

He turned on the water, letting her in behind him, his member emerging from between her legs. He gripped her tightly, dry-humping her with the flow of warm water.

They teased each other, rubbing soap over their bodies before Adrian bent her over, penetrating her with the rush of water pouring overhead. In the midst of climax, they both scratched each other’s hip, leaving the mating mark that would officially tell the world they belonged to each other.

Then they dried off. Adrian couldn’t stop staring at the little ‘A’ he had pressed into her skin. It was fresh and red, but it was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. He dabbed the towel over both of their marks gently, reverently.

Soon after, Adrian carried Luna back to bed. She fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillows, passing out in his arms.

He ran his fingers through her hair as she slept, feeling her heartbeat against him.

How had he been so lucky?

She wanted to doubt their union, even fought him tooth and nail. Adrian remembered the terrified being that came to him several months back, her every thought lingering on a world she couldn’t return to.

And now she stood beside him, untamable. Together, they would bring order to the pack, ushering in an age of prosperity.

And unlike before, they wouldn’t be standing alone. Their union had brought together not two but three packs.

Victor had tried so hard to divide them. But in the end, for all the damage he had caused, they were stronger than ever before.
