I was hoping what our guys were walking into would be a walk in the park compared to that shit.

April blew out a soft breath, but before she could speak, Smokey’s phone rang. He quickly grabbed it off the coffee table and swiped his thumb across the screen, raising it to his ear. “Talk to me.” After a moment, he cut his eyes to me and nodded once, and I relaxed, a grin spreading across my face.

That nod was everything I needed to know. All of our men were okay.

“Let us know when you’re back at the clubhouse, and we’ll head back,” Smokey told whoever called him. When he hung up the phone, he stood to his feet and lifted April, making her squeak in surprise. Her fingers dug into his shoulders. “That was Tank. It’s done, and our men are safe and unscathed.”

“Oh, fuck yes,” River groaned. Then, he slid onto my lap and wrapped his arms around my neck. I palmed his ass, bringing him closer. Smokey and April settled onto the couch next to us, and Smokey softly kissed her.

“Ain’t got time to fool around, boy,” I growled, but I kissed River anyway. Both of us would be sporting blue balls, but fuck, the mini-celebration was worth it.

“Don’t care,” he rasped into my mouth as he ground his rapidly filling cock against mine.

I moaned low in my throat at the feel of his shaft against mine and guided his hips, controlling his movements as I licked into his mouth. April rocked lightly on Smokey’s lap, more for the movement than actually getting off since I knew Smokey wasn’t hard enough yet. It was rare he ever actually got hard. Her half-lidded eyes were locked on us as River and I moved fluidly together.

“Hot, aren’t they?” Smokey rasped against the skin of her neck, his eyes on us, too. “Aren’t they just fucking beautiful together?”

River moaned at Smokey’s words, his fingers digging into my shoulders. My hips rolled with his. Christ, the man knew exactly how to wind us up.

The phone suddenly rang again, and Smokey leaned forward to grab it, putting it on speaker for all of us to hear now that we knew everything was okay. “We’re all here,” Smokey told him.

“Come home,” Capone ordered. River shuddered at the sound of his voice.

“We’re on the way,” Smokey promised.

He hung up and set April on her feet. River dropped his forehead to mine, his breaths a little choppy. “Continue when we get home?”

I smirked and squeezed his hips. “If you’re a good boy, I’ll get you off in the truck on the way back.”

He quickly scrambled off my lap and rushed to get our things together. Chuckling, I stood to my feet and then tugged April to me, pressing a kiss to her lips. She curved into me, and a tear ran down her cheek, relief flooding her body. I licked it up before pressing a kiss to her forehead. “Take a seat, my girl. We’re hitting the road in just a few minutes.”

She nodded and settled onto the couch. Smokey stepped up to me, and I wrapped him in my arms. “You did good,” I whispered in his ear. He’d handled this so fucking well, and I was so damn proud of him. It wasn’t easy for him to not know how everyonewas, but he’d handled it like a fucking champ. No panic attacks. No stress-induced cleaning sprees. He’d been calm the entire time.

He didn’t say anything—just squeezed my sides. But that was enough for me. I just needed him to know I was proud because Smokey needed that affirmation, even if he’d never ask for it.

EPILOGUE

River

Capone stepped into my room, his eyes running over my body. I’d been working out a lot more lately, wanting to be included more with club business, though I knew the guys were still kinda against it. I was a patched member, yet the guys babied me. But I’d joined because I wanted to belong to something. And yes, I belonged to them—no argument there—but I wanted to be equal to them.

Capone made me a deal finally; if I worked out more, built up my stamina and my bulk, practiced with weapons daily, and learned hand-to-hand combat, he’d let me in. So, I had. And yesterday, I’d gone on my first small run with them. We’d left early in the morning before the light even broke the sky and didn’t get back until dark.

It’d felt… freeing. I was finally equal to them. Could finally be useful, just as they were.

When we got back home, Capone had then fucked me into the mattress, telling me how proud he was of me. And Christ, mydick was plumping even now justrememberingall his growled praises.

“Hey,” I rasped as I tugged my shirt over my head. I nodded at the package he was holding under one arm. “What’s that?”

“The guys and I agreed you should give April this,” he said, holding the box out to me.

I took it from him with a small frown. “What is it?” They hadn’t mentioned giving her anything that I was aware of.

He stuffed his hands in his pockets. “I ordered her a property cut.” My wide eyes snapped up to his. That was huge. Sure, April had always been ours from the moment Tank said fuck Capone’s orders and gave her a safe place to stay, to recover, but this was on an entirely different level. A property cut was forever. It cemented that she was our old lady. That she belongedto the club.

“She’s going to fucking cry,” I warned him. April wore her heart on her sleeve, despite all the hell she’d been through. She loved each of us deeply and passionately in different ways—in just the ways we all needed her to, honestly. And she did it so effortlessly, like loving seven different men in their own love languages was second nature for her.

She’d been made for us. There was no doubt about that in my mind. And we were created to love her. Cherish her. Protect her.
