“Absolutely. You are mine now, wife. For the rest of our lives. It’s just you and me against the world.”

“What about the flames?” she asks, using her gift to put them out.

“They’ll keep coming as long we do,” I say, chuckling as I tuck my cock back into my pants. Her little giggle makes my balls ache with need.

But luckily, I’ll get to fill her with my seed for the rest of time. I’ve never felt so complete as I do with her. Call it a curse, call it fate, call it whatever you want as long as I get to call her mine.

EPILOGUE

ELISE

ONE YEAR LATER

“Baby, get off your knees.” My husband calls out from the porch. Currently, I am in the garden with our five-month-old son Blaze, pulling some of the bulbs and planting new ones. He is strapped to my chest, babbling away, kicking his legs, reaching for everything in sight.

“That's funny. That’s not what you said this morning,” I reply to my husband, tongue in cheek. He walks towards me with his arms open so I can give him the baby and runs his finger down my neck.

“That's a different thing entirely, princess. I will always let you show your devotion to your ruler.” As hot as it is outside, my body still shivers from his dirty mouth.

Fourteen months ago, Frost and I were married in a dual wedding held in both kingdoms. We found out I was pregnant on our honeymoon, and here I am, three months pregnant with number two, while the first one is strapped to my chest. “We both know how much I love to show you my love.” Smiling, he bends down and kisses me before taking the baby inside.

“How much longer are you going to be?” His question elicits wetness from pussy because I know what he has in mind.

“A few more minutes.”

“Good princess. I’m hungry.” God, I love that man.

Once I am done replanting, I stand, wipe my hands on my dress, and look out over the ocean that is our backyard. Shortly after our wedding, I told Frost I wanted to live somewhere warm for the majority of the year. Finding him showed me what I was missing, and I want to hold on to it forever. So, the agreement with our families is that from October to December, we will come home, do our duties, spend time with family, and let our children enjoy it, and once January comes, we will come back to Summerston Ridge and live in warmth.

They understand that we are taking our time together uninterrupted while we can get it. They are free to come and visit us when they wish, but this is our paradise. Neither of us knows how long we have to be normal before it is our turn to rule, and until then, we want his life together. Forever.

EPILOGUE

FROST

NINETEEN YEARS LATER

I grin as I adjust Blaze’s tie for him. I can’t believe he’s getting married today. He met the love of his life while at university and brought her home with him. She’s American and totally common, but he loves her, and that’s enough for Elise and me.

“You ready, son?” I ask. He’s the oldest and, therefore, heir to two thrones. He carries the weight of responsibility well, unlike some of his counterparts from other nations.

“Yes. More than ready,” he replies. I remember the day I married Elise. I wanted it to be held first thing in the morning so I could spend the day with her instead of anxiously awaiting her. Of course, our mothers, God rest them, had other plans.

We’ve been ruling our countries for three years now, and they are all but officially merged at this point. We’ve implemented many progressive changes throughout.76

“Any words of wisdom, Dad?” Blaze asks.

“Don’t go to bed angry. That’s all that you need to know beforehand. Everything else will work itself out.” My father gave me the same advice on my wedding day as his father did for him.

“Got it. No anger. Though I can’t imagine ever being angry with Genevieve.”

“You’d be surprised, son.” For Elise and me, it was usually small, petty things, but they could get heated. Making up was always the best part of any argument. We went through a lot of bedding the first year we were married.

Twenty minutes later, I’m seated beside Elise on our thrones, watching as our son says his vows with his brothers, Ash, Fyre, and Spark, beside him at the altar. His fiancée is a tiny princess from a formerly Greek island. They met in college last year, and to say their relationship has been a whirlwind would be an understatement. Not that Elise and I have any room to talk. We were married less than two months after we met.

For twenty years, I have had the privilege of being Elise’s husband. Her king, her lover. She is my everything. She’s the reason I was born.

Later, I drag her away from the reception to our bed. Once I’m inside of her, I’m home. She moves when I do, and it's not long before I am filling her with my seed. The fire we created so long ago still burns bright wherever we touch, but somehow we’ve learned to control it.

When I pull out of her, I lie beside her, pulling her against me. She sighs into my chest.

It still amazes me that our once-frosted hearts burn hot. Meeting Elise was the greatest thing that ever happened to me; marrying her was the smartest. My queen is fair, wise, and the most beautiful woman I’ve ever or will ever know.

The rest of our lives can only get better and better from here.
