I slowed my thrusting, pulling out right when she bordered on coming.

“What do you want?”

“You,” she groaned, pressing her ass into me.

“What of me?” I asked, rubbing my slick shaft between her ass cheeks.

“Your cock,” she ground out, growing unabashed in her neediness. I loved this side of Danni.

“Where?” I grunted.

“I want you to fuck my pussy.” That made two of us. “Or bite me,” she continued. “Or let me bite you?—”

“No biting,” I said, harder than I’d meant to. Bloodlust and biting were like binge drinking while pissed off. Nothing good ever came of it.

I nipped her neck just sharp enough to make her melt for me.

“Make me come,” she said, some of the aggression draining away. I filled her in one smooth stroke.

“Is that a command, my queen?” I purred. My predator was thoroughly enjoying this. Danni didn’t have the upper hand, but he wanted her to think she did. He got what he wanted either way, to fuck the remaining bloodlust out with his mate.

“Yes,” she breathed. “Fuck me raw and don’t stop.”

I gave her what she wanted. Needed.

Danni gave me everything back in return. She screamed my name when she came. Loud enough I had no doubt Markus, Shade, and Andreas heard her. Her orgasm triggered mine, and I wrapped my arms around her chest, pulling her to me as I emptied into her.

“How are we feeling?” I hedged.

“Better.” Her muscles eased, most of the tension draining away. “I can think about something other than killing, biting you, or fucking you.”

I smirked, pulling out. Come slipped down her inner thighs and I resisted the urge to rub it into the flesh. Danni wasn’t one for possessive males. I’d never felt possessive about someone until her. We might have to meet in the middle on that.

“My dick thinks of little else but you.”

“Better be no one else,” she grumbled. On second thought, maybe she was the same.

“There isn’t,” I promised, kissing the top of her head. Bliss sang through the bond. I hated to interrupt it, but if I could hear footsteps, I knew she could. I reached out and grabbed the T-shirt Danni had ripped down the middle. “You’ll want to put this on.”

She stood, holding the blood-and dirt-stained shirt. “I’d complain about ripping it, but I don’t think that would make it much better.” Still, she shucked her arms through the holes and wrapped it around her front, then crossed her arms to hold it in place. Nova watched from her resting spot, looking like she didn’t give a care about what all was happening.

I followed suit, zipping my fly shut and getting to my feet. My arm dropped around Danni’s waist, pulling her into my side.

Markus, Andreas, and Shade followed Ysa and Adora through the trees. Bound in glowing rope at Ysa’s side was Katie, her eyes wide with fear.

Adora stopped at the edge of the clearing, sniffed once, then gagged. “For fuck’s sake.” She put her hand on Katie’s shoulder, shoving her to her knees.

Ysabeau surveyed the trees and dead wolves, pointing at Danni. “She did this?”

I nodded once. “Blood rage.”

Ysa whistled. “You’ll need to train her.” Danni’s heart rate picked up, and I felt a flicker of anxiety. “How to control it,” Ysa added slowly. She read the apprehension on my mate’s face. Danni may have been capable of killing, but she wasn’t a killer at heart. What had happened today would be hard enough on her as it was.

“A discussion for another time,” I said, closing the topic for now. It wasn’t for Shade’s or Andreas’s ears. “Why is she here?” I thrust my chin toward Katie.

“Got a confession, and we recorded it,” Ysa said with a savage smile. I could only imagine what she’d had to do to get that. “Ten minutes with this one and Katie was happy to tell us anything we wanted to know.” She tilted her head toward Adora, who was picking at her fingernails with a knife.

I looked down at Danni, who gave the slightest shake of her head. She’d tell me what was up with that sister of hers—what kind of shifter she really was and what all she was capable of. Adora showed her hand when Danni had been shot. She saw things, and I didn’t entirely know how. I had my suspicions, but it was another thing to talk about later. When we didn’t have an audience.
