He shook his head. “Not at all. I’m a firm believer that decisions, no matter how big or small, require a proper thought process. You must weigh all the pros and cons of getting involved and becoming my sub. If you were to give me an immediate answer, I wouldn’t trust it.”

Will sneered. “And in the meantime, you’re going to avail yourself to copious amounts of dick and ass,” he said crudely. “Until I give you my decision? Right?”

Robert detected the true emotion in his statement and question. Will had a jealous streak, but under it all, he’d been through this once before and it appeared the Dom of his choosing hadn’t given two fucks about Will’s feelings. Once Will was his sub, they’d have to have a frank and open decision on past lovers. He suspected a lover had cheated on Will, causing his distrust.

Robert stood. Will was no longer receptive to their conversation. Intentional or not, Robert had hit a nerve with the other man, closing him off to anything else he might say. If he pushed now, Will would never come back, and like Robert already told him, he wasn’t the type of man to chase down a lover.

However... "I'm an adult and able to control my dick." Robert dug into his pocket before handing Will his business card. On it was his office and cell numbers. Will looked at the card like it was a viper before it struck. "I think a week should give you enough time to make a decision. You can reach me at either number when you're ready."

He used his thumb, flicking the end of the card so it wiggled back and forth, tempting Will to take the offering from him. When Will finally did grasp it, Robert leaned in to whisper in Will’s ear. "Remember, my beautiful boy, if you don't answer me, I won't chase you. We'll end things with a shared drink and a conversation about kink. But, something tells me, you'll leave here tonight, go back to your hotel and rub one out, thinking about me." He gave a breathy chuckle. "Maybe two or three times, but you won't be satisfied. You'll be waiting for me to tell you when to come."

Without a backward glance, Robert left Will, stopping at the bar to get himself his favorite whiskey before making his way up to the office to handle some paperwork for the club. Shit, Will got under his skin and after tonight, the assistant curator wouldn’t be the only one with a severe case of blue balls.Don’t let me down, beautiful boy.

Will stared at the blinking cursor on his computer, unable to concentrate on what he was doing. What am I doing? The gala for the museum was only a few weeks away and he still needed to contact the caterer, the florist, and check-in with the hired security for the event. Taking the weekend off had been exactly what he needed and didn't need all at the same time. His brain was a foggy, muddled mess. His body tingled at the slightest thought of Robert—not Bob or Bobby—and the leather corset waistcoat he wore.

He wouldn’t admit to anyone, especially Robert, he’d jerked off in the shower after he returned to the hotel. He also wouldn’t tell anyone it took three attempts to get his dick under control. And, at that, sitting at his desk, staring at the blank screen, just the thought of Robert made him hard and restless. It should be illegal. It was lewd the way his body responded to the threats and promises Robert made him. Will should hate him. He all but canceled Robert before they even talked at the club.

Now...

Ugh, why did the prospect of seeing Agent Famosa again, quicken Will’s pulse? Why couldn’t he slack the desire to submit to the man? What made him different than Mathias? Why should he believe Robert over what he’d already experienced?Blarg... Will pushed away from his desk and grabbed his things. Between the blinking cursor and blank page, plus the multitude of questions swirling in his head, he needed to get away. Which was stupid, because it seemed like lately, he’d been running away from everything.

If you gave me an immediate answer, I wouldn’t trust it.

Will appreciated Robert’s candor. But, giving him a week to make a lifetime/lifestyle decision felt too short and too long at the same time.Maybe that’s what’s wrong with me.Every time he thought he had an answer, he'd ruminate on it a little more then decided he'd made the wrong decision. Shouldn't he jump in with both feet and see what happens? Will frowned. He did that with Tristan after Mathias left him because Will couldn't conform to the standards Mathias set for him.

He snorted.

More like Mathias' believed he was the end-all, be-all Dom. He thought tying Will up, humiliating him by spitting on him and calling him a dog was the way to win Will's heart. When that didn't work, he brought in a second Dom a Sadist with a mean streak a mile wide who wielded a whip and called Will a slut for not taking his and Mathias’ cock at one time.Spit-roasted.Will shivered. Nope. Not happening. All of it left Will feeling cold and alone. He couldn't even get it up—another issue Mathias had with Will. Of course, others gladly took Will's place and, in fact, had. Mathias and Louis were doing fabulously, according to Kristin. Will wouldn't yuck someone else's yum, though he'd been a little skeeved out about it, privately. Then blamed his hang-ups about intimacy and sex, or lack thereof, on Tristan.

What am I doing? He chided himself the whole way out of his office. It wasn’t like him to disparage others. So, why did he start now?Because you’re jealous. Will scoffed. No. He didn’t do jealousy. Then again, while all of his friends had the time of their lives at The Pleasure Dome, he’d been put into an Uber by Robert an hour or so after he left him in the alcove, and sent him back to the hotel, like a recalcitrant child. Yet, he’d only gone because Robert asked, and he’d requested, before the trip started, that no BDSM clubs be on the list of places to go or see.

He stopped at Janice's desk on the way out. "I'm going out." He paused. "Scratch that. I'm taking the rest of the day off. Please forward all unimportant calls to my voicemail. If vendors for the gala call, forward them to my cell."

She nodded. “Are you feeling okay, Mr. Anders?”

"I'm fine." His tight grin belied his voice. "I found this past weekend I need to have some me-time every once in a while."

“Of course, sir.” Janice inclined her chin. “Have a wonderful afternoon then.”

“You do the same.” He exited the museum and went straight for his vehicle. Dio was at the puppy daycare still, so it gave him time to unwind. With his thoughts scattered, there was no way he could get any work done in the office, especially when he couldn’t stop thinking about Robert.

His phone rang as he spotted Robert’s card tucked into the sunglass holder on the center console of his car. He slipped the phone from his pocket and answered it without looking at the screen. “Hello?”

“Will,” Kristin said. “I was calling to check in with you.”

He frowned. He didn’t need them checking on him. He was just fine. Will settled into his seat and started his vehicle. “I’m good. Busy day is all. You?” He pulled out of his spot and headed for the exit.

“I’m good.” She didn’t say anything for a minute. “Look, about Saturday night.”

Bingo. “Yes?”

“Well, you left early and was passed out by the time we all returned.” What she meant was, when she returned. The others went home with their spouses or stayed at The Pleasure Dome overnight before leaving early the next morning, while he’d been left alone.

“I did,” he replied. “What about it?”

“Well, we never talked about what happen between you and Robert.” He heard the hesitation in her voice. They were doing it again. Walking on eggshells when they didn’t have to.
