FLASHBACK (NEVER WRITTEN ABOUT SCENE)
I sat on the edge of my bed frustrated, "Isabella!" Vincenzo yelled from my door "VINCENZO IF YOU DON'T FUCK OFF, I PROMISE YOU I'M GOING TO MAKE A FUCKING SCENE" I yelled, after a moment it fell silent. Sighing he finally left I fall back onto my bed looking at the ceiling, my door flies open, and Maria jumps on the bed next to me, "You know China heard you screaming right?" she jokes, I rolled my eyes "Maria, do you remember the first time we ever met Vincenzo and you told me to stay away?" I asked her, she nodded her head "I should've listened" I hissed.
She giggled sitting up, "in a way I'm glad you didn't" she smiled, I sat up looking at her "why? We would have gotten the fresh start we both wanted, and life would have been less violent" I pointed out, she pursed her lips looking at me knowingly "Isabella, is this your first time living? We were never going to get a smooth ride, life was not going to do us a favour and let us have a fresh start without a single problem." She took a breath, licking her bottom lip trying to find the right words. "Vincenzo is a pain, yes. He is probably the most dangerous man to ever live and might even be the biggest challenge in your life but, if it wasn't for him none of this would be possible. I wouldn't be finishing off my degree, I wouldn't have met Lorenzo, and ironically, I don’t think I’ve ever felt this safe, before Vincenzo we both were constantly looking behind our shoulder scared of who’s going to find us, or kill you" she drifted off.
"But Vincenzo took us in ... maybe it wasn't in the most ideal way, but he did it. Heprotectedus, made sure we were always okay, and he did the biggest thing of all he managed to tame you" she laughed, rolling my eyes I slap her.
"No, seriously. Dragon has always been a side of you, I wasn't even sure you knew how to handle, knowingly or unknowingly he guided you through that just like you guided him. He did the best thing I could have ever asked for, he protected you from yourself. If you ever utter a word, I will kill you but ... I'm glad Vincenzo came into our lives, I will never admit this to him until I die and that's a promise, but I love him like a brother without him I don't know what would've happened."
END OF FLASHBACK
Going back in my bedroom I put Dante back in his cot, he was sound asleep I gave him a soft kiss turning back to Vincenzo who was deep in thought. "She did" he whispered, I looked at him confused not knowing what he was talking about. He smiled into the distance, “she told me” he laughed softly.
"I'm going to need a little more information over here" I looked at him completely confused, he looked up at me "she wrote me a letter, and in that letter, she told me she loved me like a brother, she told me other things I'm sure if I had memories of her would've made me cry harder than I did." he trailed off.
I looked down at him "you ... You cried?" I whispered not knowing just how much Maria's death affected him that much. He nodded his head, "I cried harder than I thought I would, it was like I was crying for two people" he tried explaining "the side who knew who she was and the side who was just getting to know her again."
I nodded my head listening to him go on, "she was a pure soul, too precious for this world. She was like this rare gem I couldn't help the urge to protect her at all costs. Not in a romantic way but in a big brother way she deserved so much more than what she got ... I hope she's at peace playing in the waves like she wanted" he laughed out softly. "You knew she liked playing in the waves?" I asked him genuinely curious "she'd beg Lorenzo to take her all the time, I got the hint" he laughed.
"She knew you would be a great dad before I did" I whispered, he looked up at me confused and flattered. "I saw her before she died and she saw my belly, she knew it was yours and told me you'd be an amazing dad if I gave you the chance. She also said it again when I gave birth, I had this delusion or hallucination when I passed out, her and Dante actually" I remembered the out of body experience I had, “my twin?” he asked. I nodded my head yes. We both spoke for another hour before feeling the exhaustion finally crept its way, we both drifted off.

I turn over to the side extending my arm out but having it fall flat on the bed, I peak my eyes open seeing Vincenzo's tall frame at the end of the room on the phone. I stayed laying down trying to hear what was going on, "are you sure? Did you get a solid lead?" he whispers, the person on the other end of the phone speaks but I couldn't make out a single word. "No, I'm not telling Isabella. She won't be coming either, that's an order Hacker speak or utter a single word and you’re dead" he threatened him in a hushed voice before hanging up.
I quickly shut my eyes acting like I was still sleeping, he placed his hand on my shoulder softly shaking me away "Isabella" he whispers, I open my eyes slowly. I sit up straight rubbing my eyes “you, okay? Is Dante, okay?" I asked worried looking at Dante. He shakes his head "Yes, yes. Everyone is okay, I just I have to go, I got a shipment coming in I need to go be there." I nodded my head slowly, my head buzzing with a million scenarios on where he could be going, what he could be doing and why he doesn’t want me to know or be there. “Do you need some company?” I asked him to see what he'd say.
He shook his head no, almost immediately "I'll see you later ... think about what we spoke about okay?" He whispered softly, going to give Dante a kiss on the cheek before he left. I quickly stood up from bed grabbing a jacket and put on my black combat boots, running out to Sebastián's room “stay with Dante! Don't leave the fucking house I'll be back" I quickly rushed outside to my motorbike, I plugged the key in watching it pure to life, flipping my jacket of my shoulders putting it on, “where are you going?” Sebastián shouted out alarmed running after me, I looked up from the bike "I honestly don't know yet, but I’ll be back" I assured him and quickly took off, looking for a King's car. Someone picked him up, I swerve past the cars looking into each window of a black range. Finally spotting a familiar face I slowed down keeping my distance but tailing them. They took a turn into a street I knew all too well he was headed back to the estate. I waited on the side street hoping he would come back out, whatever he is doing it was making me squeamish.
Vincenzo's POV
I yawn opening my eyes softly, extending my arms out stretching. I go to sit up but feel pressure on my chest, looking down I saw Isabella peacefully asleep holding onto me. I calmly laid back down watching her not knowing how long this moment will last. Trying to memorise every aspect of her, how her hair falls onto her face, the way her lips pout when she's asleep, how her long black lashes make her look like a doll. I turn my head to the table next to me grabbing my phone hearing it vibrate, ‘missed call from Hacker’.
I sighed trying to slide out of the bed without waking her up, standing on the side of the bed I look at her watching her snuggle up to the pillow, I sigh in relief and walk around to Dante looking down at him.
A proud smile takes over my lips before I stand at the window at the end of the room calling Hacker back while I got dressed quickly.
"Boss" he quickly answers the call, "parlare"(speak)I respond. He clears his throat "I have a location on the matter you wanted to know about" he speaks up proud of himself, I'm stunned hearing him finally give me the news I've been waiting for.
"Are you sure? Did you get a solid lead?" I asked him seriously.
"I am, I've been tracking it for a while" I nodded.
"Nicely done, we will discuss details when I get home. Gather the men" I give him an order, feeling the familiar adrenaline, rush through my blood.
"Since you're back with Isabella does that mean she's coming along?" he asked me in the same tone Ariana would have. I shut my eyes shaking my head.
"No, it's too dangerous for her." I shook my head not wanting her to be in danger.
"Did you forget how fucking scary Isabella fucking is! She is never in danger she is the danger!" he yelled out forgetting that I did forget, "Hacker" I warned.
He coughed realising "huh I guess you did..." he laughed out. I rolled my eyes shaking my head. "You sure you don't want Isabella's help? If she comes, I don't think you'll need any of the men with you" he pushes trying to get me to bring along Isabella. I tensed up letting out a frustrated sigh "no, I'm not telling Isabella. She won't be coming either, that's a fucking order Hacker speak or utter a single word and you’re dead" I threatened him in a hushed voice before hanging up.
Turning around I see Isabella changed her positions, I edged closer to her softly shaking her awake, "Isabella" I whisper not wanting to startle her, she slowly opens her eyes and looks up at me. She sits up straight rubbing my eyes “you, okay? Is Dante, okay?” she rushed out worried looking at Dante. “Yes, yes. I just I have to go, I got a shipment coming in I need to go be there.” I explained praying she'd believe me and not ask any follow up questions. She nodded her head slowly. “Need some company?” She asked calmly, I shook my head no, almost immediately “I'll see you later ... think about what we spoke about ok?" I whispered softly, needing to leave fast before she figured it out. I walked around the bed going to give Dante a kiss on the cheek before I left. "I'll be back Leone" I whispered before straightening up my posture and quickly leaving.
I dash outside seeing Luca in the car waiting for me, jumping in I nod for him to leave to the estate. I sigh leaning back in my chair enjoying the calm before I got back home, I flip my phone out and hover over Lorenzo's name. Pushing everything aside I hit his name, placing the phone to my ear while it called. “What?” he asked groggy, “where are you?” I asked him worried. “Home” he breathed out, “good I'm coming” I informed him quickly, shutting the phone I look out the window and see someone on a motorbike near the car, I shrug my shoulders thinking nothing of it.
