I curl my feet under me and start flipping channels. Bash and Grady glance my way every so often, but I try to ignore them.

I'm not sure what to say. I hardly know them. I haven't had many interactions with any of the men besides Killian. Well, except for in the SUV when I told Bash he was on my bad side. The asshole laughed it off like it was nothing. Apparently, I don't scare these men. Rude.

Finally, after I can't take it anymore, I ask, “Is there something you guys want to watch?”

Grady shrugs. “Anything you want, lass.”

I end up turning it toFriends. I could use funny right now.

Bash leans forward. “This is my favorite episode. It’s the one where Ross screams ‘Pivot’ over and over when they’re moving the couch. It’s fucking hilarious.”

Uh, what? Did I hear him correctly?

I stare at him in disbelief. “You watchFriends?”

“What, you think because I'm a big, bad gangster that I don't watch regular TV?Friendsis a classic. What kind of persondoesn’twatchFriends?”

That makes me giggle. These men are so weird. One minute, they're all terrifying and murderous and the next, they're listing their favorite episode ofFriends. It's like whiplash. The three of us sit back and watch the show. Every time Bash cracks up laughing, I smile. I appreciate that they're not trying to talk to me or ask questions…or be overbearing like someoneelseI know. Although other than Killian handcuffing me to the freaking car, I haven't minded his overbearing side all that much. The handcuffs, though. I'm absolutely going to get him back for that. He's going to pay dearly.

Killian reappears a few minutes later with a bowl in his hand and sits down next to me, closer than he was before. I know the big jerk is doing it on purpose. I shoot him an irritated look, and he smirks. That damn smirk is going to be the death of my underwear. I swear, every time he flashes those brilliant white teeth at me, and those full lips pull back in any kind of smile, I drench my panties.

Even though I've had my fair share of boyfriends over the years, I don't think I've ever been as turned on by a man as I am by Killian Lachlan. He’s gorgeous. And enormous. I bet he's big everywhere. I'm sure he’s had his pick of women. He’s high up in the mafia, after all. He probably knows how to use his hands, his tongue, and the monster swinging between his legs like a pro.

Just the thought alone causes a shiver to run through my entire body. The way he talks to me. Calls me naughty. Baby. Little girl. It does things to me I never thought possible. Quite honestly, it shouldn't be after everything I've gone through recently. I should want nothing to do with men. Especially anyone involved in the mafia.

As much as I hate to admit it, I do feel safe with him. I know he’ll protect me. I don't know how I know it, but I do. I’ve never experienced this before. Not that I'm ever going to tell him. Honestly, his ego is big enough already. He’s also completely overbearing and unapologetic about it. I mean, for goodness sake, the man freaking handcuffed me. Who does that? Is he an animal? God, I bet he's an animal in bed. Ugh, I need to get the mental picture of him handcuffing me to the bed out of my mind. I can’t believe I’m having these dirty thoughts. Shame on me.

A spoon being held up to my face snaps me out of my thoughts. Killian is trying to feed me oatmeal.

I scrunch my face and reach for it. “I'll feed myself.”

He raises his eyebrows, but he lets me take the bowl and spoon out of his hands. The man is insufferable.

The sweet aroma makes my stomach growl. Goldfish crackers have been the only thing I've been able to eat this past week, but suddenly I'm starving for real food. As soon as I take my first bite, I moan. Killian stares at me like he wants to devour me, and I realize I made a very sexual noise. Whoops.

“It’s so good,” I mumble.

He shifts, and I don’t miss how he tries to discreetly readjust himself. The thought of him being turned on thrills me. The four of us watchFriendswhile I continue to eat without any more moans.

Bash laughs hysterically at the show, which makes me laugh too. “I still can't believe you likeFriends.”

He winks. “Did you think I was some kind of animal living under a rock or something?”

I tilt my head and stare at him. “I don't think I should answer that.”

Bash rolls his eyes, but Grady and Killian chuckle.

“He's definitely an animal. Don't let him fool you,” Killian whispers.

Yeah, I kind of get that feeling. He has this easygoing vibe about him. Almost like he doesn’t have a care in the world. But when I look into his eyes, there's something there. Something deeper and bone-chillingly terrifying.

After a while, Killian takes my empty bowl from me. I can't believe I ate it all. For the first time in days, I feel warm from the inside out. And very sleepy. I can't wait until I stop feeling so sleepy all the time.

I leave Grady and Bash in the living room and follow Killian into the kitchen. “I'm gonna go to bed. Which room is mine?”

“The one you woke up in, baby.”

My nipples harden at his endearment, pressing painfully against my bra. I’m glad it’s padded so he can’t see the way my body is reacting to him.
