“Me too,” Remi added.

The men grinned at each other.Storm, Gabriel, Talon, King, Bear, and Faust all joined them, looking mighty proud of themselves for the help they put in.

“Ready?”Doc asked.

“Yes,” all four women answered at the same time.

The men chuckled.

“Okay, you can look,” Steele announced.

Harper opened her eyes and gasped as she took it all in.

“What is this?”Ivy asked.

“This,” Doc said, “is your new slumber room. For when you want to have a sleepover. The shelves are stocked full of movies, and there are toy baskets full of toys and activities.”

Remi started walking around.“This looks like one of the suites.”

“That’s because it is one of the suites. We got rid of the living room furniture, removed the wall that separated the bedroom to make it one big room, and brought in bunk beds so you can all sleep on a mattress instead of the floor,” Kade told her.

Harper smiled up at Doc with tears in her eyes.“You did this for me?”

He grinned at her and pulled her close.“Well, it was my idea, but all the guys helped. You may not be able to have a slumber party every night I’m at work, but when you’re able to, I wanted you to have a magical space to do it rather than the cold floor in the community room.”

“It’s so beautiful.I can’t believe you hung twinkle lights above each bed,” she whispered in awe as she stared at the bunks.

“I know my girl doesn’t like the dark when she sleeps,” he replied.

Warmth filled him as Harper, Remi, Ivy, and Carlee explored the room, pulling out puzzles and movies and toys.He hated leaving his baby girl when he had to go to work, but he felt better knowing she had this space to spend time with her friends while sleeping comfortably at the same time.

A moment later, she ran toward him and jumped into his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist.“Thank you, Daddy.I love you so much.”

He twirled her in his arms and grinned.“I love you, too.I’m going to spend the rest of my life doing whatever I can to keep that beautiful smile on your face.”

“Promise?”

“Promise.Forever and always.You’re mine.”

Ready for Gabriel’s book?

“Carlee?”Eden could barely get her friend's name out between sobs as she held her cell phone close to her ear.

“Eden?What’s wrong?Where are you?”Carlee asked.

Eden stopped walking and looked around, sniffling.“I need help,” she admitted reluctantly.“I’m scared.”She couldn’t stop shaking.

There was a shuffling sound, and then Carlee’s boyfriend was on the phone.“Eden, honey, where are you?”Atlas asked.

Tears streamed down her cheeks.“About a block from the diner, I think.”A sob escaped.“I ran out.I think I went left.I wasn’t thinking.”

“Okay, honey, I’m sending someone to help you.His name is Gabriel Marcos.Stay right where you are and keep talking to me,” he ordered.

Eden had met Atlas several times. She knew he was a good guy and treated Carlee like spun gold. She also knew he was a member of the Shadowridge Guardians MC.

Before Carlee had started dating Atlas, Eden had always been a bit nervous when members of the Shadowridge Guardians came into the diner. She’d since realized they were some of the best guys on the planet.

“Eden?”Atlas prodded.“Are you with me, honey?”
