“A hundred and what?” Kylie turned to me almost mad.

I wasn’t exactly sure why Alec bought me the most expensive necklace in the store, but I was aware of a shift in our friendship, with privileges and … a baby. “Right. I should probably be seen wearing it today since I’m sure it’s all over the news that you bought it.” I tried not to sound bitter.
