He pulled back and took a deep breath. He lifted my hand and softly kissed my knuckles.

“Ready?” He lifted a brow, a knowing grin on his gorgeous face.

He knew what he did to me, and I only hoped I had the same effect on him.

I blushed and nodded, biting my lip to keep the lusty sounds from rolling off my tongue.

It was like we hadn’t already had sex—like it was our first anything. The flirting—the teasing touches and looks—was foreplay on an entirely different level. It was sweet that Koah wanted to do this at all. Especially considering he had already gotten the goods. Looking at him, you’d never think he was a romantic. He was rough and dirty—covered in tats and carrying a gun, but for me, he wanted something as simple as dinner and a movie. I loved that about him.

Curling my hair was pointless. As soon as we got on the road, the wind had its way with my long locks, whipping them in all directions until I had to pull them up at a stoplight. I held on to Koah, relishing in the feel of his warmth and hardness against me. I loved being close to him. It was one of the main reasons I enjoyed being on the back of his bike. The closeness. The adrenaline. Everything about being with Koah was a dream.

We didn’t drive long before we pulled into the parking lot of a popular Italian restaurant. I had never been—the place was too rich for my blood, but people raved about their manicotti.

“This is too much,” I said once his engine quieted.

He didn’t need to spend his money on expensive dinners for me. I was content eating a cheap burger as long as I was with him.

He lifted me from his bike, carefully keeping my skirt down, and pulled me into his warm embrace. He filled his large hands with my ass and breathed me in.

“Nothing is too much when it comes to you.” He kissed the tip of my nose before taking my hand and walking me into the restaurant.

The place was gorgeous, decorated in the Tuscan style, with small chandeliers above each table. We were seated at a quiet table toward the back, and I was glad we were tucked away from the rest of the diners, especially since Koah and I had issues keeping our hands to ourselves.

Our sweet young server walked us through the menu and ensured we had everything we wanted and needed. I hadn’t been to a nice restaurant since before my father was put in prison. It wasn’t something I needed, but I couldn’t lie and say I didn’t enjoy it.

The people had been right about the manicotti. It was the most delicious thing I had ever eaten. I took small bites of the saucy goodness while we held hands. The roughness of Koah’s touch was sexy. I loved it when he ran his fingertips over my fingers and palms as if he couldn’t stop touching me.

“Are things getting better with Gracie?” he asked.

We had texted throughout the week and had a few late-night phone calls where I had filled him in on my argument with Gracie. It was nice to have someone to talk to who understood that I wasn’t just being a mean big sister.

I shook my head. “Nope. I’m still a bitch trying to ruin her life. I’m not sure what’s going on with her lately. It’s like she’s a different person these days.”

“She’s getting older. It happens.”

I understood that, but it was still hard.

Once we were finished with dinner, the server came back to our table.

“Did we save room for dessert?” she asked as she cleared our dinner plates.

I rubbed at my stomach and shook my head. “No way.”

She chuckled and turned toward Koah for his answer. His eyes didn’t leave mine when he said, “I’ll have my dessert later.”

The server and I both blushed and didn’t look at either of us when she returned with the check.

Koah paid, and we held hands as we left the restaurant and went to his bike. He helped me on, his eyes taking in my legs and pausing at the space between my thighs where I was straddling his bike.

“I’m trying to be good,” he said, tucking my hair behind my ear, “but you’re killing me, babe.”

“Want to skip the movie and go back to my place?” I opened my legs and looked at him through my lashes.

He chuckled. “As wonderful as that sounds, I’m determined to do this right.”

He kissed me before he got on his bike and cranked it. A moan slipped from my lips at the vibration between my thighs, making him reach down and touch my knee.

I spent the ride to the movie theater, letting my hand fall between his legs. Occasionally, I squeezed his hard cock through his jeans, and he would reach down and push my hand harder against him. I wasn’t sure we would make it through a movie without losing our minds.
