People knew who he was. I had learned something from going to The Strip, and I knew no one had the balls to mess with Koah Saint’s bike.

“You race at The Strip?” Gracie asked, falling into the chair beside our couch.

Koah looked at me, waiting for my permission to answer. I nodded. Gracie wasn’t a stupid girl. She already knew the answer to her question. She just wanted to hear him say it.

“I do.”

“Tori won’t let me go, but I bet it’s amazing.”

He grinned, the side of his mouth lifting in the sexy way that had me crossing my legs. “It’s probably a good idea that she keeps you away. Hell, I tried to make her stay away, too. The place is dangerous, but yes, it’s amazing.”

Great.

Now, I would have to worry about Gracie wanting to go to The Strip every weekend.

“You brought her home the night she was trashed, right?” Gracie asked.

Koah looked at me and nodded his answer.

“Thanks for that.” She paused. “Think you could take me for a ride on your bike?” she asked.

My sister had no filter.

Again, Koah looked my way with a raised brow. If I trusted my sister to ride on a motorcycle with anyone, it would be Koah Saint. But at the same time, danger was danger.

“Maybe some other time,” I said.

Saying no outright would only make her fight for it harder—typical teenage shit.

Gracie sighed in annoyance but didn’t fight. Instead, we spent the next hour watching a movie on our embarrassing TV while Saint secretly found ways to touch my arm or leg. He thought he was being sly, but I wasn’t stupid, and honestly, I enjoyed the feeling of sneaking around.

I fell asleep at some point, and my body started to lean against Saint’s shoulder. I wasn’t positive, but I could have sworn he tucked the hair strands falling into my face behind my ear and softly kissed my forehead.

“Tori,” he whispered my name.

I opened my eyes and looked up at him. “Yeah?”

He stared down at me as if he wanted to say something, but instead, he moved his shoulder from under my head and shook his head. “I should probably get going so you girls can sleep.”

I sat up and nodded, yawning loudly and making him chuckle. Gracie snored from her chair beside us as I stood to turn the TV off. Saint started toward the door and paused before he began to unlock it.

“You know this place isn’t safe, right?” he asked.

“I know. It’s why I have so many locks.”

“What if the locks aren’t enough?”

I shrugged and chuckled. “Then I guess we’re screwed.”

He sighed with aggravation, and I giggled. “Just make sure you lock up behind me, okay?”

I saluted him. “Sir, yes, sir.”

He shook his head and grinned. “Smart-ass.”

“Takes one to know one.”

He chuckled.
