Biting on my bottom lip, I shake my head.

“Well, you are. And you’re a woman I don’t deserve.”

“And you’re a man I don’t deserve.”

We finish up in the shower, and once we dry off, I pull on a pair of sweats, Dom pulls on black sweat pants, and remains shirtless, which is deadly for me because I simply can’t get enough.

Dom cracks his mom’s bedroom door and peeks in on her. “She’s fast asleep,” he whispers.

“I’m glad she’s staying here. Safer for all of us.”

“You hungry? We barely ate at my mom’s.”

“Yes.”

He reaches for my hand, holds it tight, and it makes me feel comfort. He feels like home.

“My stuff,” I say when we reach the landing. Dom didn’t think it was safe enough for me and Liv to move out our own things, so he hired movers and a couple of his men to clear out. Even insisted on paying the break our lease, which was not cheap. I miss the view, but Dom’s place has a great view in the back.

“I’ll have Belva put your things away in the morning.”

“Well, I can help.”

We stop, and with Dom’s hand still holding mine, he pulls it around his waist, so we are hugging. When I look up, he tucks a hair behind my ear. “I love you, Geneva Castle Fallone.

“I love you too, Dominick LaRocca.”

He pulls away, and the loss is immediate, but he walks over to the small desk and pulls something from the drawer. With a smile, he says, “This is for you.”

“For me? What is it?”

“Open it.”

He stands excitedly as he watches me, the smile not leaving his face. I unfold the paper and read it. My eyes grow wide. “Are you serious? Why are you giving me ownership of the club?”

“Why not, Gen. You deserve it. You can do anything you want with it.”

“What about Aldus?”

“Up to you. You can fire him and run it how you want, or you can keep everything as is and keep him on. Whatever you want to do with it.”

“Dom, I can’t accept this. It’s too much.”

“Yes, you can. It’s the least I can do for everything you have been through.”

“What about you? You had to kill your own step dad. That couldn’t have been easy.”

“It wasn’t. But it’s what needed to be done. Need a pen to sign that?” he asks about the document.

“Yes,” I smile. “But you seriously didn’t have to do this.”

“I know. I wanted to. I’ll be busy taking over my step dad’s duties, so I won’t be able to focus my attention on anything else, besides having you by my side, and keeping my mom safe.”

He hands me a pen, and I sign the document. It’s hard to wrap my head around now being the owner of Heaven’s Door.

We walk, and I look at Dom. “Sit.”

I look in the fridge and find some food. “Looks like Belva left some meatballs in here, and you sub rolls.”
